Orient Official Site The Club are saddened to hear the news that former O’s Manager George Petchey has passed at the age of 88. The Former QPR and Crystal Palace player was in charge of Orient between the years of 1971-1978, before going on to manage Millwall. Petchey was renowned for his man management, particularly with younger players and George was the Manager who brought Laurie Cunningham through the ranks at Orient. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of George in this tough time. www.leytonorient.com/2020/01/16/george-petchey/

QPR Iron man wing half.
Never let the side down. Glad I was able to watch him play at Loftus Rd during the the late 1950's/ 1960.
RIP George Petchey.
