Unbelievable - only in football! I could have posted this on the FFP thread, but he resided over so much more than just FFP. In fact every thing he touched...…………...but wonderfully rewarded for his services even when departing. I am sure others can better detail his disastrous tenure far better than I ever could. theathletic.com/1515526/?source=twitterukExclusive: Shaun Harvey handed £500,000 pay-off as EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey earned more than £1 million in his final year as chief executive of the English Football League thanks to a severance payment of £511,658. The figure is revealed in the league’s next set of annual accounts, which have been prepared but not published yet, although The Athletic has seen them. They must be approved by February 6 and when they are published in the coming weeks they will reveal the 49-year-old Yorkshireman’s annual salary and pension contributions rose from £448,000 in 2018 to £495,000 last year, with the pay-off on top. He was paid about £150,000 a year when he took the job in 2013. These sums will provoke outrage from many fans of EFL sides who blame Harvey for not doing enough to stop incompetent or rogue owners from overspending and jeopardising their clubs’ existence. Harvey was effectively forced out last summer after a bitter row about the league’s domestic broadcast deal with Sky Sports..
