So how are our departed heroes doing elsewhere......perhaps it supplies a clue to why we are doing so well this season........
1) Darnell Furlong (West Bromich Albion)
Struggled to break into the WBA team due to the form of youngster Ferguson (19). But he secured his place with Ferguson replacing Gibbs at left back. Great return to QPR last week, hope he returns to play for us one day. But he seems to have settled and is probably the most successful of our departures. (8 starts + 1 sub appearance & 1 goal)
2) Luke Freeman (Sheffield United)
One too many step overs has seen Luke sat on the bench for most Premier League games. He seems to be losing out to Oliver Norwood. Not setting the place on fire yet – but I wish him well. (3 starts + 3 sub appearances no goals)
3) Matt Smith
Things appear to be going well for Matt. He found a team who played to his strength. However, his one-dimensional approach was pretty nullified when we played at Millwall. I felt sure that he would score against us. Not sure what his future holds now that Neil Harris has stepped down. Wish him well though, always gave 100%. (3 goals from 7 appearances)
4) Mssimo Luongo (Sheffield Wednesday)
One of my favourite players. I thought we would miss him far more than we appear to have. Mass has struggled to break into the Owls team. He seems to be losing out to Sam Hutchinson and has played less than 200 minutes of football for Wednesday. He started the game on Saturday as Hutchison was not available and played 75 minutes before being substituted having scored the winning goal. Most of his other minutes have been in the cup or as a late substitute. Not going so well for him, although the fans have been calling for him to replace Hutchison, perhaps under Gary Monk he may now get his chance. (3 starts +5 sub appearances & 1 goal)
5) Matt Ingram (Hull)
2 keepers battling for the vacant goalkeeper shirt – Ingram lost out to Long. He has only started cup games. No doubt that if he plays against us on Saturday week, he will have a blinder! However, him playing looks unlikely. From one subs bench to another, he really should have dropped a division for regular football. By comparison, Dieng went out on loan to Doncaster and after starting on the bench, is now first choice keeper at Donny. (Just 2 starts for Matt).
6) Joel Lynch (Sunderland)
Joel Lynch was disappointed and embarrassed when playing for Sunderland against Lincoln.

I wish him all the more disappointment for the future – just like he gave us. (3 start to date)
7) Pavel Wszolek (Legia Warsaw)
Signed a 2 year deal with Legia Warsaw on a free after his QPR contract expired. However, he is yet to make an appearance for them. Perhaps he is injured?
8) Jordan Cousins (Stoke)
Probably struggling the most of all our departures, see link below, he is the target of much abuse from the Stoke fans (makes our supporters look reasonable!). With the manager under pressure, I do not see Cousins having much of a future at the Brit! (Only started 4 games + one sub appearance, but the Stoke fans have already seen enough!)

9) Tomer Hamed (Charlton)
Decided to leave his Brighton contract and join Charlton on a free transfer. Not sure if he is injured or not but he did not make the bench on Saturday even with top scorer Lyle Tayler injured. So carrying on where he left off at QPR! (Only started 2 games plus 3 sub appearances – no goals.).
10) Sean Goss (Shrewsbury)
May have found his level with a couple of M of M and Team of the Week awards. (8 starts and no goals)
11) Conor Washington (Hearts)
Conor was Injured last month and is now out for 3 months with a hamstring injury.
(3 starts + 2 sub appearances & 1 goal)
12) Alex Baptiste (Hearts)
Sat on the bench for promotion winning Luton making just 2 appearances. Joined Doncaster in the Summer but has again only made 2 appearances. Not even on the bench on Saturday
