Terrible feeling it's going to be one of those days when we just cannot get eh ball in the net and lose after being on top for much of the game. Always the same at Bristol. This was pretty much the game summed up. And Lumley can't kick to save his life.

Dominated the first 25 minutes without testing their keeper.
Failed to clear a corner (from an attack that should have been stopped right at the outset when the City player handled the ball) and a good finish by Adam Nagy. You could sense we were going to pay for all that possession without creating a real chance.
The second goal was just truly farcical. Never throw the ball directly across your own penalty area. Plain daft. That said, Lumley should have cleared it and that would have been that.
At 1-0 we had a chance, but at 2 down the heads dropped and that was that.

Missed the handball but other than that, yeah, pretty much same view as me. The timing of that second goal killed us - we had got momentum, Hugill had just been denied by a good save from Bentley, tails up and then a moment of madness. Why throw a ball bouncing into your own area? But as said, Lumley should have just got it out of there. Interested to see in the highlights but a lot of different views on whether BOS got away with snapping at a City player. He was getting held all game and at one point, it looked like he turned around and kicked out. Around me, everyone thought it was a red but others after hadn't seen anything or thought he didn't make any contact at all. Happened very fast. Had a couple of good chances - Hugill had a very good opportunity a few yards out at the near post in the second half. Not a terrible performance by any means, but a bit sad to see how loose we got after the second goal. Suddenly lots of odd decisions, vague lofted balls, a touch of panic - which all looks a lot more obvious when we'd been knocking it around on the deck most of the game. Looooong old walk back to the station.

Was a bad goal to concede. Just hope that Lumley does not suffer the confidence issues that Ingram went through playing it out from the back. I think the ball back to him was pretty dumb though.

So we've found a new way to concede a goal from nowhere! I feel sorry for Lumley, I'm not sure what he was supposed to do. He couldn't catch the ball directly from the throw-in and it reached him at the height of its bounce. Not too clever.

It was an absolutely idiotic throw in. That was the ball game. At 1-0 we were still in it and you sensed that if we could get a goal City would have started to panic.
It wouldn't surprise me if Kelly starts next game. Lumley's kicking isn't good. I never had confidence in him all game with the ball at his feet.
