Unfit to go to the games, I was watching the goal service on Sky, backed up by a constant flow of texts from Bow (thanks mate!!!). Some good goals, but as is often the way, not sure Kelly grabbed his chance to impress and will be disappointed for a couple of the goals, but still, he saved the final penalty and we live to fight another cup day. Watching all the upsets unravel on Sky and one realizes what a nonsense this competition has become. Derby and Swansea both made 11 changes but sneaked through. Middlesborough gave debuts to 6 youngsters and went out to Crewe. WBA, Huddersfield, Brentford, Charlton, Barnsley and Wigan all crash out at home. Daft init?

It would seem that the crowd was entertained!
Well done Rangers & all of those that went tonight.

I expect I will give this one a miss as well as midweek games are a pain, but league matches are a must!
Mind you, the though of sitting watching SSN or message boards instead of seeing whichever eleven Mark Warburton selects of our twenty two man first team squad does not appeal!
I also had to keep up to date with Flash Scores tonight to follow Chesham United maintaining their 100% record in the Southern league!

The Sky highlights are now on a thread on LFW.
The Smith penalty miss was unfortunate as it hit the underside of the bar before bouncing on the line & coming out.

Just on the bus home, what a silly game. Absolutely loved it.
Will try keep it brief and I've not seen the highlights so just my impressions at the game.
Diedhiou finished well for Bristol's first but thought Kelly was perhaps a little slow off his line on that first goal, but our equaliser was sumptuous and near-immediate. Little lay off from Smith and Wells absolutely rifled it.
Second goal ditto - first half in particular we looked so quick and neat in possession. Not going overboard as we only got flashes of it but some our attacking link up was superb. Like, best I've seen us do in years. Chair's relentless movement, Wells' confident back to goal game, few moments of class from Pugh, Smith's linking, Kane's ability to consistently roast his opposite number and deliver good ball - likewise Manning. All had their moments.
Bristol's second and third both impressive goals - the second one looked like every goal Hoilett scored when he was at Blackburn. The free kick for the third looked pretty special live, though I always feel a bit cynical that most keepers shouldn't get beat all ends up at such long range. Maybe harsh, not sure.
Now our penalty to bring it back to 3-3 was very, very funny. I would have been fuming if that was given against us. A few minutes before, Manning had what I think was a very solid shout for a pen. His defender was all over him from the moment he picked up the ball and as he accelerated past, he looked like he just hauled him down - nothing given. That must have played on the ref's mind as when the ball came towards Wells, it looked as if he just stepped back into his man and initiated contact and hit the deck. Not seen a replay but it looked very soft.
Manning took that and his shootout goal very well - surely first choice for pens this year. Diedhiou absolutely spooned his which was very satisfying. Some good saves from Kelly, a moment of worry from Barbet but we are through. And on balance, deservedly so.
Right, tired, off to bed very happy. UuuuRs!

Cracking game with both sides demonstrating decent depth of squad. My man Chair is settling in nicely and should have had 2. Thought Kane was good in first half as we played 3 at the back and pushed him and Manning to wingback

Just purchased my ticket for Saturday.
Finally got one in the away end so I don't have to sit in with the City fans and keep quiet if and or when we score.
Buzzing to see Eze live in the flesh, so to speak.
Hopefully it's as exciting as the cup game on Tuesday!

Enjoy it nomar.
I'm sure it's the most important gamne of the season for you, as away to Ipswich is for me.
One or both of Eze & Chair will be well worth watching!

This looks like an exciting team to watch under Warbs, so definitely looking forward to it. Think there will be goals in this game. Nice to finally have some cash to be able to afford a ticket when they come down to where I live.

My journey isn’t so exciting. My wife is dropping me off at the ground on her way into the city centre.
I’ll have to make my own way home though. It’s only about a 10 minute walk to the bus stop and catch the 75, which pretty much drops me right outside my house.

I'm rather envious of the pair of you!
I would much prefer to be there than sat at home listening to Geoff, on messageboards etc!

I'm another QPR fan living in Bristol, albeit on the other side of town (Kingswood). A horrible drive and normally park in Bedminister. It is the one game, more than any other, that I want us to win (or at least not lose). Too many BCFC fans are so up themselves, they believe they are such a big club without realising what a small pond they are in.

I live at the bottom of Dundry/Highridge so I can get on the 75 and come off on the one way system at Parson Street then walk down Winterstoke Rd. I don't mind City fans and I do root for them when they're not playing QPR. Would be great to have a Premier league team in Bristol, would be brilliant for the city as a whole and a lot of local businesses.

I'm going to be near Gloucester for the weekend. If I'd have thought about this in advance I could have made the match. I'm not sure my wife would have been too happy though.
Enjoy the match Nomar. I hope Chair gets on the pitch for you to enjoy, he is fabulous to watch.

Nomar, I come via Temple Way normally but not today I will go a long way around and get close via the A38 (West Street) and park somewhere like Chessel street. No one bus can get me anywhere close. I would prefer to see Rovers doing well (given all their connections with us),
