Spent the weekend down there and have definitely got a rotten cold for my troubles. Horizontal rain much of the second half. Really good to see such a packed away end but a pretty dreadful game of football all in all.
Probably more to it than this, but it looked a lot like Portsmouth had a game plan and forced it on us and most of the time we tried to play our way, we came unstuck through a combination of the conditions, the pitch and our own decision making. Can't remember the last time I saw the ball in the air so much and Pompey were more comfortable with that than us. A lot of our usual outs didn't work - clearances up to Furlong often got swept up by the wind and out of play. Meanwhile, with the ball often being up in the air in the middle, Scowen and Manning were often dwarfed by Pompey's midfielders.
Did well not to roll over and glad we got the equaliser in the end. First time in a while I'd seen Freeman so isolated, largely cos of the above. Not somewhere I'm keen to head back to in a hurry!

We won’t be going up or down so put a strong team out, win the game and get the last 16 team tie with Watford.

Our prize fund from the FA Cup for this season now totals £315k.
Another £360k in the kitty when we beat Watford, plus the payment from BT for televising the match.
It all helps with our financial problems!
Well done MY TEAM!
