#OTD in 2018: Leeds 2 QPR 0 - Season ends. Holloway axed BBC Match Report www.bbc.com/sport/football/43938849Get West London QPR were beaten in what could prove to be Ian Holloway’s final match at the helm. The Rangers hierarchy are considering a change of manager despite a solid season, which ended in defeat at Elland Road. Kemar Roofe opened the scoring on the half-hour mark and a mistake by keeper Joe Lumley led to Kalvin Phillips doubling Leeds’ lead a couple of minutes into the second half. ADVERTISING Roofe acrobatically fired Leeds ahead from the edge of the six-yard box after Rangers were unable to clear Phillips’ left-wing corner. The goal came somewhat against the run of play. QPR striker Matt Smith, playing against his former club, had a header saved by keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell after being found by Darnell Furlong’s long-throw. Smith also headed a cross from Furlong down to Josh Scowen, who shot over. After falling behind, Rangers threatened an equaliser when Luke Freeman headed wide from Ilias Chair’s cross. And Furlong headed over from Freeman’s free-kick in the final seconds of the first half. However, Rangers made the worst possible start to the second period, with Lumley giving the ball to Phillips with a poor clearance and then allowing the midfielder’s weak shot through him and into the net. Lumley later atoned with a fine save to deny Ezgjan Alioski. QPR: Lumley, Wszolek (Smyth 62), Furlong, Bidwell, Manning, Cousins, Scowen, Chair (Osayi-Samuel 60), Freeman, Eze (Oteh 72), Smith. Subs not used: Ingram, Kakay, Hämäläinen,Owens.
