Good today. Deserved it. On the way back and too cold to argue with people who write us off and tar off our own players online. Over the moon we saw that out. Uuuu Rs.

Fantastic to get the win, what a relief and fantastic start to 2018. What with Burton , Bolton and Barnsley also picking up points we really needed that.
Now can we push on a bit and put in a better performance at Burton than we did at Millwall.
Not to fussed about the Cup, what will be will be.
Well done to Smyth too.

Yeah, I've got pretty low expectations for the cup as per (a shame, wish we and clubs like us took it more seriously).
Smyth looks very useful, hopefully he can keep that up. Looked like the goal meant a lot to him and his reaction coming back on at the end was lovely. Step up for him but fingers crossed!

I would rather get three points off Burton than get to round 4 of the Cup but that’s just me. I think if we rested 4-5 we should still have a good enough team to make the fourth round. If we win it would be nice but not end of the world, we are used to it. Amazing we can beat any team in the Division at home when we put our minds to it. 10 points from 12 off Wolves , Sheff U , Cardiff and Bristol. We need to start addressing that away form, if we could, we will start to climb the table a bit and get to that 50 point marker. Still going to bed a Happy Ranger tonight unlike after the Millwall night .........

Still going to bed a Happy Ranger tonight unlike after the Millwall night ......... Yeah, the points at Burton are more important. The cup logic is one of the things that confuses me about football cos you see teams getting out of our league who also had a cup run and the momentum seems to help them but so many clubs rest players that there presumably must be a logic to it. I guess we are more fragile injury wise than we have been for a bit. I wish I understood our long standing away form issue. Been years and years now since we've had anything like an ok record away from Loftus Road. This will be my first trip to Burton this year so am looking forward to ticking that off at least. Certainly going to bed far happier than the Millwall game (been disappointed plenty this season with results but that's the first game I can think of in a while where we unequivocally just got it completely, utterly wrong - form, tactics, application in the second half in particular). Whereas tonight we go home with a very promising debut goal, a very gutsy performance and a well deserved 3 points against one of the league's best sides. Funny old game etc.

I was thinking that as I left the ground yesterday, how we have picked up some really good wins against the best sides in the division at home. I have always felt that with some of the excellent value signings that we have made that we are only 2 to 3 players off of being a quality side. It really is that tight in the Championship.
That win was of huge importance to the club and to Holloway in particular as one or two who have stuck by him were beginning to waiver in my opinion.
