Would you believe that I hadn't noticed? Ok. It's the new me. While on dot.org and LFW, some are revelling in WATRB's misfortune, QPR Report decided to try and follow the wishes of some here re my (past!) WATRB focus But since you asked! Below: What Myu said: But bottom line. It's a temporary problem, as they have to find another hosting company. Although I have paid for 3 years in full, the hosting company have suspended our account due to WATRB using to much CPU usage. In other words we are a very busy website and causing a strain on our hosting server, slowing all other websites that are also hosted on there. Below is a part of the email they sent me. During this routine monitoring we have found that your account is utilizing an excessive amount of system resources, and we have been forced to suspend your site as per our terms and conditions '10% CPU Policy'. For your reference, here is a copy of your usage report: > Top Process %CPU 35.0 [php] > Top Process %CPU 32.0 [php] > Top Process %CPU 30.0 [php] They want me to buy a dedicted server as our site is way to busy for there liking. This means having a PC / Server all to WATRB website."

How did you do that Scott? That was impressive good Inside info. I think I might move to this site now Scott. The problem is it sounds like WRTRB's site has over complicated itself and is using up to much space hence why slowing other sites.

Well as i see it this is how it went/goes.
Set up forum - goes well but slow. Server company cannot cope with the forum Crashes Moves us to new server Still not perfect so decide to upgrade to a better and faster server with a new company Move to new company All goes well (for a while) Site goes from strength to strength Suddenly get double the amount of traffic We're causing other sites on our server to go slow Server company gets bucket loads of complaints Server company pull plug on us (without warning) to appease the other sites We go mental Server company decides to give us our own dedicated space And we wait and wait for it to be up and running
Touches wood that this is finally, eventually, completely, unquestionably the end to all our frigging problems

Interesting. What do you mean when you say, 'Suddenly get double the amount of traffic'? Surely we should sacrifice extra's like games etc that in a way are using up space that we don't really have or am I looking at it in completely the wrong way?

It started with someone on the main Cardiff site linking to us, then (and this is my fault) I was posting on the main Newcastle site re watrbs. The site averages 2000 hits a day, we had a day where we hit 4000 but that was because of people in the middle east - all very random. I think the facebook set up, twitter set up, constant hits etc etc pushed it over the edge. Should all be sorted soon and like i said that should be it.
I dont look after the server so i'm only relaying what i was told.
Anyway, whilst its down we've got Mikes amazing site havent we? (good site this - i think i visit here more than any other site watrbs excluded obv.)

Yeah, it was Mike who first suggested looking at him earlier in the year so i did.
Amazing isnt it!!
As for kevin, i have some insight into that but thats not really for the boards. I'd also like to add that anyone who knows kevin and knows his QPR friends (ex-fired qpr employees for example) would vouch for him as a tops man.

I did a link re Alejandro Agag acouple of months ago (Or maybe it was just a suggestion re doing a google search) Yeah but you're not as charismatic as Scotty-boy! ;D Might also if interested do a google re Kevin Steele Schtup me! (I am actually typing schtup now my-self!) That really does deepen the intrigue and I have to ask what are all those people doing at QPR Holdings? For all of their capital and enterprise does indicate a far more significant investment into QPR Holdings than what we can actually see (if we ever do get the accounts!). I don't believe for one minute that these men would assemble themselves around any boardroom table unless there was a significant purpose. It's trying to see what that purpose is because if it's to keep a mid-table championship side afloat I'll be a monkey's uncle (and if that is the case then that would be you Joel, the monkey that is! )

We've had to move to dedicated server. Much happier when it was this kind of board (pro-boards), problem is we thought by doing arcades and extended highlights of games we would give a little extra. In the long term it will be better. Personally think the problem is with v-bulletin and what it entails.
Anyway, we now moved hosts again, the company in the USA were useless and we will be paying a little bit more. It might take 24-48 hours to go back up, once it does problems should be behind us.
nice to find a site not gleeing too much satisfaction that it is down.

The Site has got greedy. We never had issue's like we have now before all this Twitter and facebook was put up. What with all the games now available I am not suprised it can't handle it. I think we should leave twitter off as although so may enjoy it, I can imagine 90% don't even use it. I am tempted to leave WRTRB's. Although MYU is very good and does work hard it has got to the point where you are suprised to get signed in!

Well forget all the personality and conflict issues, etc, etc, etc. It's interesting reading the "philosophies" of what WATRB want to be and the advantages of their new site versus the old one. And also reading the others sites' philosophies. It's not a matter of right or wrong. Each to their own

QPR report you seem such a nice bloke yet... looking deep I notice MYU and Scott both used to Moderate on this board. They then decide to start their own site. The old site is a spit and image of this one. Also you loose loads of your old members that also move to WRTRB's. Yet you feel no remorse. Not trying to rock the boat just saying I have full respect for you.
