Ha No Motta West London Sport QPR look unlikely to sign Marco Motta following the Italian defender’s recent trial at the club. Rangers discussed a short-term contract for the 29-year-old right-back but both parties are now looking at other options. Motta has been without a club since leaving Watford at the end of last season and has been keen to secure a return to England. Prior to his three-month spell at Vicarage Road, during which time he made seven league starts for the Hornets, Motta was at Juventus. www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-wls-qpr-transfer-latest-no-defender-deal

From West London Sport www.westlondonsport.com/features-comment/football-wls-remy-tipped-to-complete-leicester-move-and-chelsea-youngster-is-said-to-have-snubbed-qprRemy tipped to complete Leicester move, Musonda said to have snubbed QPRBy West London Sport 30/01/2016 A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving the area’s clubs… Loic Remy is widely tipped to complete a move to Leicester, while the Daily Mail claim Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda snubbed QPR to join Real Betis on loan. Leicester are reported to be on the verge of signing Blues striker Remy, who has been unable to establish himself as a first-team regular at Stamford Bridge since being signed from QPR in 2013. The Sun say Leicester initially made an approach to take him on loan and are now set to sign him in a club-record £11.5m deal after being being told Chelsea were only interested in a permanent transfer. There continues to be speculation that Diego Costa could also be on his way out of the Bridge, with reports in his native Spain suggesting he is wanted by his former club Atletico Madrid. The Sun say Atletico have offered forward Jackson Martinez in exchange but the newspaper believes Chelsea are unlikely to agree to the deal. Musonda, meanwhile, has agreed a loan move to Spain, having been linked with QPR along with Patrick Bamford in recent weeks.
West London Sport recently revealed that Rangers did make an approach for Bamford but were told that the Chelsea forward, who is expected to join Norwich, was likely to join a Premier League club.T he Mail claim the R’s also tried for Musonda, who supposedly turned them down. Dutch clubs Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar are also said to have been keen on the 19-year-old Belgian.

I hope they have someone else lined up - RB is one of our weaker positions imo We have a couple of days to get one in or they may just think wait until the summer. I feel we will get in a Striker before Monday 11 PM and probably a replacement winger for Phillips if he goes. Doubt there much other business will be done and its a window we really dont need to do much either, not until May now.

As I said before: We really should be very discriminating re any signings now...Get rid of who we can... (Unless we know of a forthcoming transfer embargo on any signings)

I think there's a little bit of difference One coach who's been with QPR for two decades...who was doing a good job...And who is probably not earning a fortune And get rid of a Brazilian non-Playing international who cost us a fortune and is continuing to cost a fortune

From the Swindon Advertiser more on Michael Doughty's loan. www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/swindon_town_2014/14242286.Doughty_extends_loan_deal_until_the_end_of_the_season/?Michael Doughty extends stay from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the seasonMatthew Edwards, Sports reporter / 18 minutes ago / STFC SWINDON Town have extended the loan deal for Queens Park Rangers’ midfielder Michael Doughty until the end of the season. The 23-year-old made his first start for Swindon Town in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Sheffield United and has impressed chairman Lee Power in his short spell at the club. Brought in to ease the burden of Louis Thompson and Ben Gladwin returning to their parent clubs earlier this month – Gladwin was loaned out to Championship Bristol City after being recalled by Queens Park Rangers – Doughty arrived at the County Ground on a one-month loan deal on January 15. Speaking after the game at Bramall Lane manager Luke Williams said: “He’s been excellent to be honest and I was quite taken aback with how quickly he picked things up.“I watched the (Sheffield United) game back a couple of times and the positions he takes up and when he releases himself to go and press; he very quickly picked things up and that’s promising. “It’s even more competition, you know. These boys are professionals and they understand that."

Burton Mail Burton Albion transfer news: Nasser El Khayati does not travel with squad to Rochdale amid QPR links By A_Wilkinson | Posted: January 30, 2016 By Ashley Wilkinson BURTON Albion winger Nasser El Khayati has not travelled with the squad to face Rochdale today NASSER El Khayati has not travelled with the Burton Albion squad today following increased speculation over his future at the club. Queen's Park Rangers were reported this morning to be closing in on a deal for the Dutchman - though there is no indication of an actual bid materialising as yet. El Khayati was not right mentally to play today, with the speculation around his future, according to coach Andy Garner. "There's speculation with QPR," said Garner. "Nasser is aware of it, we're aware of it. "I don't think he's probably in the right frame of mind as he doesn't know what's going to be happening. "I think it's best to leave him out of it. He wasn't involved against Peterborough." www.burtonmail.co.uk/Burton-Albion-transfer-news-Nasser-El-Khayati/story-28637028-detail/story.html

Apologies if I've missed something, but what's happened to Traore? Nothing, we cant get rid of him and He never wants to go on loan like SWP didnt so we have him until his contract expires.. Which is, runs out in June , like Green and Gobern So if we cant sell these three or loan them out, we will just pay them for another 4 months.

If we get El Khayati we should be letting the non playing Scotsman Mackie go unless we can convert him to a playing right back. What has he cost per minute of playing time this season.?

From the Daily Star www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/491252/EXCLUSIVE-West-Brom-plotting-8m-swoop-for-QPR-ace-Premier-League-Matt-PhillipsEXCLUSIVE: West Brom plotting £8m swoop for QPR ace
WEST BROM expect to finally nail an £8million deadline day deal for Queens Park Rangers winger Matt Phillips.By Harry Pratt / Published 30th January 2016 The Loftus Road ace, 24 is a long-time Baggies target and came close to joining Tony Pulis’ men last summer. He was part of a £20m double swoop that also included then-Hoops team-mate Charlie Austin – and relied on Albion selling Saido Berahino to Spurs first. When Berahino’s £25m exit collapsed late in the August window, Baggies chief Jeremy Peace pulled out of the race for the QPR pair. Now, though, Berahino’s future – and whether he stays or departs the Hawthorns before 11pm tomorrow – is not an issue. Championship strugglers QPR do not want to do business but may be forced to as Scottish international Phillips refuses to discuss extending his contract, which has 16 months left to run. The Hoops rejected bids of £12m for Austin last summer only to sell the striker to Southampton two weeks ago for a cut-price £4m – rather than lose him on a free this June.

An expensive cheerleader perhaps? Mackie will presumably play when Phillips goes, either in this window or the summer, unless ...... this Kemar Roofe, is he centre mid or wide and so is he being lined up as a replacement for Phillips or Fer? Please be Fer, please be Fer, please be Fer.

Kemar Roofe?
Not sure who he is but I did know his brothers Sun and Flat.....and he has a sister who married and became Mrs Roofe-Tiler
Not long to the window closes and normality will return
Edit. According to the Oxford website he is an attacking midfielder who can play on either wing or up front - photo looks like Theo Walcott so if he can play the same it would be a good deal.
www.oufc.co.uk/team/player-profile/kemar-roofe/4
I know some will not like signings like this from a lower league but if they are low cost and 1 out of 5 go on to bigger things we will be doing well.
