No Twittering on QPR Football Exclusive - Twitter is BANNED at QPR next season, insists director of football Les Ferdinand QPR director of football Les Ferdinand claims he will ban players from Twitter next season. Club captain Joey Barton was involved in an ugly spat with Rodney Marsh on Friday night, and a number of stars have had war-of-words over the course of the season. And Ferdinand insists he has no time for the social media platform. “I hate Twitter,” he told Adrian Durham on Matchday Live. “You get involved in arguments with people when there’s no need to do that. It becomes personal and bitter. “A few of our players had a problem with Stan Collymore earlier this season. I just don’t understand it. “If you see someone face to face and you want to express your opinion then [fine], but why do you want to do it on social media so everyone can see it. “One thing I will be doing next season is that I don’t want any of our players on Twitter. That’s one of the rules I will put in place.
