If Clement and McClaren don't want to be interviewed I wonder who the other two (if any) will be who are interviewed?

If as expected the other two rule themselves out, Sherwood it will be then. Im not convinced by Sherwood. Surely there are better, more experienced coaches/managers in the lower leagues than Sherwood.

Curbishley's time has long come and gone Just because he has been out the game as a Manager a few yrs you can't right him off. He's only 57 not 77. Same age as Hoddle and he came back in from the outside. Realistically McClaren, Howe , McCarthy are managing teams in the top 4 of Championship and won't leave. Clement rules himself out. Would like us to see 3-4 candidates , not just give it to SHERWOOD.

Not sure I agree about Curbishley as I said. But fully agree re doing a real search...Or even waiting permanently till Summer...

Its not like this was all set up for Sherwood months ago, is it.
Just get him in and quit all this fannying around. Everyone knows its his job and has been his job for months now. Just get it done and move on.
Seriously, no ones falling for this interview 3 candidates bullsh*t.

A shortlist of three, and two have already said no; this is unfortunately par for the course at QPR. Let's not kid ourselves that potential managers are camping out outside Loftus Road begging for the job. In my opinion Sherwood is our best option as things stand, it is still very tight in terms of points at the bottom of the table we could scrape through. Clinging at straws.

I see no reason for Clements to want to come. If it has to be Sherwood give him the 15 games or so till the end of the season on trial, see how he deals with motivating a team of out of contact players.

If I were Clement I'm not sure I'd be interested in QPR either, tbh. We're in a mess, have been for years, and have precious little to show for the obscene amount of money TF and friends have thrown away. To make matters worse, the future is completely uncertain - PL or Championship? FFP fine? Training ground? Stadium? Academy? And the owners don't exactly encourage stability with their insatiable desire for headlines and marketing of Tune Group. For a first step into management, especially for a highly-rated and genuinely up-and-coming coach, this isn't the place you'd pick.
Terrible shame, because I think he's exactly what we need (along with a major revamp of attitude and behaviour).

I see no reason for Clements to want to come... Well, if Clement is happy in a relatively no-pressure job at one of the best/biggest clubs in the world,, I'd agree. And nothing wrong with that... after all, who needs the sh*t managers have to take from owners, fans and the press!? But if he wants to manage in his own right, then what better an opportunity than to take on an ailing Premier League side which his dad played for - and where he will get a massive welcome and huge support from fans? Don't think it will happen, but would love it if it did.

I'd also add that we would be underusing him as well as we don't have the facilities in place for him to be able to do the job at his full potential. Getting him in would mean committing to Warren Farm and right now the board don't want to do that, as they back pedal from their original headline grabbing plans. Real shame to pass up this opportunity from a fans point of view, but let's face it, Uncle Tony's tweet mentioning him was only to placate fans and give the impression that he is actually carrying out due diligence in regards to the new manager, whilst Sherwood negotiates his pay packet before being inevitably installed.

No one seems to have mentioned Stuart Pearce?! The Hammersmith Lad comes home and makes good, at last? I'm not saying he's the best choice... but he is available...

Didnt achieve at U21 England Level . Spent over 10 Million in the transfer window at Forest , top after first 7-8 games , then something like 4 wins in 24 games . Considering thats a division we might be in , Harry and Neil didn't have that sort of problem. Local lad or not, wouldn't want him anywhere near our Club sorry a Big NO from me.

Is Sherwood a done deal here ?
If not can someone tell me what happens if another coach is taken on, what happens to Chris Ramsey if the new coach doesn't want him as part of his set up? Surely Les will insist he stays ?

Yes he just tweeted, would love to manage the Club he supported as a child , would be a great honour but no intentions of leaving his Club halfway thro a season etc . Shame, no Clement, no McClaren who else can they interview apart from Sherwood , maybe should have got Pulis when we could ? They might aswell have just given the job to Hoddle for this remaining 15 games and if it didn't work out we might have got Clement in the summer Now it's Sherwood , Sherwood and Sherwood , oh well. Go back and ask Glen for an interview Or Curbishley

“I’m very flattered to be linked with Queens Park Rangers, a club I supported as a young boy and for whom my Dad played,” Clement told the Guardian.
“It would be a real honour to manage that club at some point in the future. But, at this time, I’ve got no intention of leaving Real Madrid in mid-season.”

Yes, talk to him now, and if he really suits then let him take the job in the summer.

Don't think Stuart Pearce is the answer, but Forest had a FANTASTIC new manager 'bounce' under him. First 10 games:
Won 7: Drew 3: Lost 0
...which would make us safe if he repeated that kind of form - with 15 games to go, we could even afford to lose the remaining 5 games.
