Apparently Bond's leaving will be announced tomorrow. Do we have any coaches left for Saturday's game? Not exactly like it made much of a difference when we had loads of them anyway, was it! Think there's a lot of relief around the club today, fans, players and board members. Harry did the right thing and saved TF having to do what he should have done 3 weeks ago.

Woke up to find Harry and co gone. We're still very much in the mix to stay up despite the doom and gloom mob on this board. Hope whoever gets the gig keeps us up. Just wish Harry's knees had packed in in Dec! Said in another post, this was the only realistic way I could see us saving our season. I and most others on here couldn't see us getting out of it with Redknapp in charge. Too many bad decisions from a guy who looked disinterested and disconnected more and more as every away loss mounted up. Who they appoint next is vital but let it be someone who has a hard work ethic that he will spread to this bunch of players.

I could see him keeping us up until just after New Year but a horrendous January convinced me otherwise. Obviously it would have been better if he'd have gone before the window shut but there are no guarantees TF would have opened the cheque book for his replacement.

Robbie Savage , you love him or hate him. I know what one I choose... Says we are down, going on about embarrassing our 11 away defeats are and he's right but coming from him being part of a Derby Team that a few years ago achieved 11 points in a 38 game season, a record that will never be surpassed is bloody harsh .

Savage is a first class tw*t.
The only reason he's employed by the media is because he is such a tw*t, someone people love to hate.
He's always the same - he'll spout a whole range of changing/contradicting views throughout the season (not so long ago he was equally convinced QPR would not go down), so he'll always be able to say he was right.

Yup - ad revenue from people clicking on links featuring his opinions doesn't discriminate between people who respect his opinion or those who want to see what crap he's spouting. It's profitable to employ Savage precisely because he's an inconsistent inflammatory idiot.

I honestly don't believe we're any more likely to go down post Redknapp. And we have a reasonable chance of staying up under Sherwood, Ferdinand or whoever. Biggest weakness is if AUstin gets injured...But even then

The former Tottenham manager cited ongoing trouble with his knees for walking out on a side deep in relegation trouble. But Fernandes sees a different side to the shock resignation. Redknapp came to represent all that is rotten in contemporary football.
Greed, self absorption, lies, laziness, agents, media-love.....am I missing anything?
The unintentional humour was the one redeeming feature.
Probably a decent person at some point.
(however compared to king of the t-ssers Hughes......)

Flashback 8 years today....The immediate departure of Harry Redknapp. Not axed (Had just had a QPR announcement that Redknapp would be staying till the end of the season) But no more transfers...No attempt to keep him. And clear he'd be out at the end of the season.
