What is it that Morrison did so wrong whilst at QPR that has a few upset? Or is it his reputation at other clubs? OK, he did not play in the playoff final, so what? We still won it. If he had done any of his alleged behaviour whilst at our club,I could understand the angst but he hasn't.

What is it that Morrison did so wrong whilst at QPR that has a few upset? Or is it his reputation at other clubs? OK, he did not play in the playoff final, so what? We still won it. If he had done any of his alleged behaviour whilst at our club,I could understand the angst but he hasn't. Rather lazily copied from Wikipedia Legal history In early 2011, Morrison received a 12-month referral order and was ordered to pay £1,445 in costs and compensation after admitting two counts of witness intimidation. After an assault charge was dropped when Morrison's girlfriend refused to testify, he was convicted of criminal damage for throwing her mobile phone out of a window and advised to undergo domestic violence counselling. In February 2012, Morrison was involved in controversy after posting a homophobic threat on Twitter, responding to criticism by calling another user a "f*****". He was charged under FA rule E3, which governs use of abusive and/or insulting words including reference to a person's sexual orientation, and accepted his guilt. He was fined £7,000. Morrison was remanded in custody on 31 July 2014 after being charged with two counts of common assault against a former girlfriend and her mother. He was freed on bail after three days in custody. In August 2014 he appeared at Manchester Crown Court entering not-guilty pleas to two counts of assault, one of assault causing actual bodily harm and one count of harassment. A provisional trial date was set for 26 January 2015. In November 2014 he was found not guilty of the harassment charge of threatening to throw acid in the face of his ex-girlfriend and have her killed after the Crown Prosecution Service withdrew the charge. On 15 January 2015, Morrison was cleared of all charges of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and her mother.

Totally different fish but where's Bartons Wiki? Loved by all the club, still wanted back by many, applying his trade in the Prem. Surely Morrison deserves a final chance.
I personally find what he has done is quite sick.
He may just have grown up and realised he needs to change.
Im not saying he hasnt been a stupid bloody fool but do you end his career forever.

And i never wanted Joey Barton at QPR either (or John Terry) or one or two others who might be very good footballers.
And I don't want to ban them from football; just from QPR

Well he might not have time to join us or whoever, just tweeted that his agent has got his work cut out to get deal done in time?
Maybe if so many against it best it doesnt go ahead? If Ollie signs him though, I back his decision, Les wants him for sure or he did do, otherwise wouldnt have kept door open.

You have a very commendable Christian attitude Harr, far better then mine. I'd actually forgotten quite how unsavoury Morrison is. I hope that he has seen the error of his ways, but I've no desire for him to use QPR as a vehicle to prove it. I wonder how many last chances he has burnt to date?

Maybe Roller, although I am disgusted what he has done in the past as are you. You would have hoped he had grown up now and realised. Les seems to think he can turn him around and just maybe they can. I dont really want to sour what is looking a good dressing room though, taken us a while to get to this stage. So what will be will be.

Fresh from Italy... The Lazio midfielder Ravel Morrison, born in '93, is on the verge of signing for Queens Park Rangers, the club with which he trains for nearly a week

From westlondonsport www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-hold-talks-morrisonQPR hold talks over MorrisonBy David McIntyre 31/01/2017 QPR are speaking to Ravel Morrison’s representatives about a potential deal to sign him ahead of the transfer deadline. Morrison has trained with Rangers and is looking to move back to England from Lazio. The 23-year-old, who had a loan spell at QPR in 2014, has failed to make an impact at Lazio since agreeing a move to the Italian club from West Ham two years ago.

Di Marzio Sky Italy saying Ravel on loan until the summer with an option to buy him off Lazio if we want. This would make sense

Looks pretty much like he's coming today now then, regardless of what any of us think about it.

We'll have more midfielders than the rest of the Championship combined! Just signed Goss and then go and sign Morrison. Doesn't make sense to me

I doubt there is a deal to be done as the difference between his wages at Lazio and what we can offer is going to be big. Maybe Lazio might be motivated to supsidise his wages.
I would take him despite his past on the basis that people under the age of 23 can be very stupid especially in the culture he was operating. Last chance though and if I were Ollie I would insist Morrison moves in with me like Warnock did with Adel when he got the best out of him!

Well, hope he signs.
Will he offer us a truly creative attacking midfielder, will Ollie help him get his head straight, instil a team/work ethic, will he be an obnoxious, self-centred and a disruptive influence in the dressing room?
We'll have a few months relatively risk-free to sound him out and (presumably) an option to buy at the end of it.

I think he'll do well for us this season. The he'll think he deserves a move to a bigger club, he won't get it and he'll sulk back to Lazio. Just a wild stab in the dark.
