Starting off with Tony Fernandes
Tony Fernandes @tonyfernandes 5m
I'll take the draw. Saw enough to give me confidence for the future. Hope matty is back quickly. We fought all the way. Give harry some time
Harry needs some time with new players. We need to compete with the top teams.
With the injuries we had which was disruptive and quite a few new signings I'm pleased. Shoes spirit. Special mention to Andy Johnson.
Also special credit to Junior Hoilet. He can be the difference on the day. Come on junior. All the way. Show your class.

1 point gained not 3 pints lost in a 6 point game.
Would have preferred a win but content with a draw. Still 2nd and 3 points ahead of 3rd.

What a good football match. Burnley's forward pair are electric. Slight disappointment in BAE as he nearly cost us the game, not for his overall performance but his bad choices. I don't think he was injured in that goal, I think he felt guilty and decided to play 'hurt'. Thought after Charlie was out that it would be doom and gloom but no, Doyle was up front and in defense. Well done him.
Didn't win but happier than I thought I would be.
Well done the lads.

My Staregy in life is not to throw away talent. Talent sometimes needs encouraging. We need to encourage and support our players.

Well done the lads. spot on alfa , it was probably the best we've played all season . i was very happy the way AJ and Doyle linked up , that could end up a really good partnership .BAE could have cost us the game , moments of maddness , would prefer a more traditional LB who would have just thumped the ball into row Z . Simpson was badly missed today especially for burnley 2nd goal when nobody closed down kightly for him to cross for volks to score . overall I was very pleased with our performance

I'm going to bite my tongue about tweets and especially the retweets! Tony Fernandes @tonyfernandes 5s Weird my live for QPR. Shattered. Flying all over. In Los Angeles. Went to bed at 1.30 and automatically got up at 4.30am. No alarm. It's like a mental clock or all the fans in the loft waking me up. Off to bed now. Come on you rangers. That was my love for QPR not life. 54 points to play for.

Must be a different Andy Johnson to the one I saw. Sorry to disagree but I was totally unimpressed with him - as ever.

I'll get the negative out the way first, AJ was pretty poor in my opinion so I'm with Gramps on that one. BAE had an absolute nightmare today and somebody needs to tell him that it is ok to just hoof the ball of the pitch and he doesn't have to try and mug off every attacker that chases him down. Also today confirmed to me that Onouha really should be at CB rather than RB. Oh and obviously conceding three goals was disappointing.
Right now that's out the way, onto the positives. That was definitely one of the most entertaining games I've seen at Loftus Road in the last few years. Thought the team moved well off the ball, always looking for space. Barton coming back helped a lot in midfield, thought he was superb and the fact the ref let the game flow helped his game. Dunne and Hill may have made mistakes but were solid most of the time, Dunne took his goal like a striker. Hoilett was superb I thought, especially in the last 30 minutes or so. In the first half he did some great defensive work too which impressed me. Kranjcar was effortless as per usual, made some fantastic passes and touches, never seems to break a sweat. Traore also good down the left.
Most importantly however was Kevin Doyle. What a debut, he won so much in the air against much bigger CB's than him and managed to score 6 mins into his debut which is impressive considering his recent Wolves form. Seemed to hold the ball up really well and play his team mates in. Maiga also scoring was fantastic, he seemed a big imposing lad when he came on and I feel we'll give him the confidence he didn't have at West Ham.
That's two signings who have proved me very wrong.

From the Irish Independent www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/doyle-emerges-from-darkness-29971430.html Doyle emerges from darkness Kevin Doyle rises to score the opening goal on his debut for Queens Park Rangers yesterday DION FANNING – 02 FEBRUARY 2014 Within seven minutes of his QPR debut yesterday, Kevin Doyle may have emerged from his career darkness. Doyle had scored three times this season. His last goal was three months ago. He hadn't started a game in a month and the last time he completed 90 minutes was on December 21. He had also never scored on a debut before. "I've played one game in the last 10 weeks, basically," Doyle said. "I was telling the manager after about 50 minutes that I was cramping up but I got through it and it was great in the end." His goal, a deft header from a Niko Kranjcar corner, could be the moment he needs. For long periods in yesterday's 3-3 draw, he looked like the player who had been so important for Ireland, as he made intelligent runs, held the ball up and provided endless energy. When Richard Dunne scored with a stunning left-foot volley to make it 2-1 after Burnley had equalised, it looked like being an extraordinary day for a couple of senior Irish internationals with something to prove. Doyle returned to the international side when Giovanni Trapattoni departed but he felt the move was essential if he wanted to impress Martin O'Neill. "I think it would have been very difficult to pick me if I was at Wolves and not playing. I'll worry about myself personally, playing here, and whatever happens with Ireland, happens." If QPR represent a Premier League club in an exile which they hope is temporary, Burnley are attempting something more audacious. They don't have QPR's budget nor the draw of London but they played dynamic football and after an hour at Loftus Road they were leading 3-2. Modibo Maiga, another loan signing on Friday, equalised to keep QPR in the promotion places, three points ahead of Burnley. Doyle has arrived at a club with a clear ambition. On Tuesday, QPR's top scorer Charlie Austin injured his shoulder and his season looks over. Harry Redknapp's search for a replacement took him to Wolves and Doyle. "We'd lost Charlie Austin who has been so important to us," Redknapp's assistant Kevin Bond said. "Harry is shrewd when it comes to dealing in the transfer market and he has an amazing instinct. Kevin Doyle was excellent today." Redknapp may have wanted a replacement but for Doyle the need was even more urgent. In the summer of 2012, Doyle was relegated from the Premier League with Wolves but was a first-choice for Ireland.

A good point in the end.
I said at the start of yesterday that I'd bite your hand off for a point and so I'l gladly take that. The key was not to let Burnley close the gap on us and we did that.
Doyle scoring was a bonus because he is going to be our main striker now that Austin is out (sadly, probably for the rest of the season now).
At this level, a hungry Doyle with a point to prove is good enough to get the job done against most of the teams left on our schedule. At Prem level that's another story and he's the kind of guy you have to come off the bench and have in the dressing room for his experience. But at Championship level, if he can stay healthy, get his confidence up and get decent service he can certainly do a job for us.
I had to go into work yesterday so I couldn't see the game but I'll probably watch it on demand later today at some point as I'd like to see how we played.

...and just look how much Burnley have spent in the transfer market to compete with us.
Erm..............
How many players do we have now?

As Dave McIntyre and others have pointed out in the past, virtually only QPR have the money (or at least spend the money) to go out and sign player after player after player - to replace injuries or failures.
(That so many of our signings over the last years have been flops, just speaks to how we've performed in the transfer market)
If we don't go up this year - and I'm sure we'll then blame the injuries, when probably every club have their own share of key injuries - I imagine Redkapp will move on...And the team rebuilding will be massive

Yes we played well, but should of lost the game,an uncharacteristic miss by their goal scoring machine Cost them dearly and us a sigh of relief. Started like a house on fire today but faded in the second half. Nevertheless A great game of football, let's hope we can retain that first half performance for 90 minutes over the rest of the season.

...and just look how much Burnley have spent in the transfer market to compete with us. Erm.............. How many players do we have now? This is true. However, some context is necessary in order to fully appreciate the comparison. Teams likd Burnley have been developing young talent for years. They don't have QPR level resources so their whole infrastructure is built to nurture and develop young players. QPR used to run a similar ship but abandoned that model in the Paladini era and instead of setting up the club to be able to bring through young talent we can only seem to look at buying the finished product. So, yeah, Burnley didn't get more than us in the window. Most admirable. But their set up is so different to ours that its very difficult to realistically expect us to follow the same pattern. Had they lost Vokes and Ings with days to go in the window I wonder if they'd have just sat on their hands though?

ALthough much as I'm not an acolyte of GIANNNI, the lack of youth players coming through has been for many, many years. (A handful in the past 15+ years I'd say)- Jones, Langley, Jenane, Parrett, Sterling. Maybe couple of others)
