The point I was making is that the majority on this board were probably cock-a-hoop when we announced the signings of a Portugese international Champions League winner, a top Spanish midfielder from Real Madrid, a goalkeeper from AC Milan, a proven goalscorer at the highest level etc now with the benefit of hindsight they are all crap, are just here for the money, dont play for the badge and its all Fernandes and Beards fault.
What people keep forgetting is that a club that has a ground capacity of 18000 is not going to buy 30 million pound players and therefore (as HR said) there is an element of gamble when you are dealing in our end of the market.
I will also wager that of all the signings we made in the last couple of windows, Ryan Nelsen was the player that we most were lukewarm and the least excited about given his age and the fact he hadnt been doing anything at Spurs and look it him go.
Retrospectively we can all the be Top Managers and Chairman for that matter.
So the fans, who have expectations that their club - with employees (chairmen, scouts, managers, players, et al) who are paid lottery money to do their jobs properly - is going to do OK, don't have the right to be disappointed and complain when it doesn't? Hm.
Bosingwa is not a Portuguese international anymore. For the obvious reason of him falling out with a manager. Cesar played for Inter, not ACM, and I'm not sure who's that 'proven scorer at the highest level' you're referring to.
