Odemwingie insists he was told by Ashworth that he could leave if QPR came up with £3.5million. Once Rangers did so, the striker left for London only to be told as he approached the capital that West Brom now want Junior Hoilett as part of the deal on loan AND Hoilett's salary to be paid in full. If true, I don't think that was an unreasonable deal. Let's be honest, Hoilett is a) not fit; b) there were no real hints that he was essential to Harry's system, not this season, not so far at least, SWP is more trusted. I know that defeats the purpose of loan, but since he's not playing for us and we're still paying his wages, why not not play him (loan him), pay his wages and get Odemwingie?

Is there a possibility to make a loan switch? We get Odemwingie, they get Hoilett (of course, we pay both!)
Are loans allowed out of the January window?

I'm pretty sure we're not allowed to loan in. Only thing I'm not sure is Players currently out of contract? Can we for them?

Wikipedia has the answer:
Free agents can be signed by a club at any time in the season, if they had been released by their previous club before the end of the transfer window. A club can request to sign a player on emergency basis, e.g. if several goalkeepers are injured at the same time. In England, clubs from the Football League Championship to the Football Conference can loan in players from 8 September to 25 November and also from 8 February until 24 March. An existing loan deal can be made permanent at any time outside the transfer window.

Definately.I'm glad we told them to sling their hook.About time we stopped bending over.Looks like WBA thought we were so desperate that they could mug us off.

As I said, we probably won't play Hoilett much and still pay his wages. And that can be classified as selfmuggery. Or we'll play the kid and he'll score more goals than Odemwingie and Harry is a genius.
