What kind of player was he? He scored a good few goals in the early 80`s?

An honest pro footballer, nothing special but popped up with goals pretty much everywhere he played.
Started off at that lot down Fulham Road, then seemed to have a season or two at a fair few clubs (17 in a career of 20 years.)
Will always have a place in R's fans hearts as being responsible for the only time QPR have appeared in the Guinness Book of Records (fastest league goal, 6 seconds against Bolton 1980).

Is he the son of Jim Langley?

No.
But basically Tommy Docherty was able to use his money from Goddard sale to sign Langley and Andy King
(who were both sold after Venables joined us!)

Langley was useless. Chelsea fan to boot.
Scored our fastest ever goal though.

£400,000 signing which was a lot of money at the time, reckone he was'nt given a chance at Rangers because he was ex Chelsea, the truth was, he was'nt very good
