Massive over reaction by some on Twitter. We have our first point on the board and got a point from a place we nearly always lose. I think it is understandable Rory How would you feel if you had paid £50 today to watch that performance Apart from Park nobody deserves more than 5 out of 10 from me

i was very dissappointed with cisse.... worst player on the park today by along shot in my opinion....doesn't seem to understand offside rule!!! just hope he bucks up for our next 3 PL matches!!! Derry released him early and he was almost in on goal. You need to think quick and shift the ball fast or he runs offside. Only once was he actually offside and the ball shouldn't have gone, from Park. All the rest, releas it sooner.

Mark of a great team that..... play rubbish but doesn't lose. Plus, we appear to have lost at Carrow Rd for 800 games on the spin before today so a draw's a good thing to finally get there. Got me ticket for next week and can't wait!

Can't wait is right. I remember many chumps talking about City needing to borrow a cricket scoreboard for when we went there a few months ago cos we were apparently gonna get snotted by an avalanche of goals....... didn't happen though did it? Also, City's laboured and unconvincing defeat of the "mighty" Saints was hardly impressive. The rollercoaster ride has started - only kids and wimps start screaming for it to stop; rest of us hold tight and look forward to the next loop/dip/90mph curve and end up exilhirated. International break? Grow some nuts!

We were shockingly poor and needed a phantom penalty that even our players never appealed for in order to score.
As someone else said above, better teams (i.e. Man City next up) will do what Swansea did to us every week with the chances Norwich had.
No one seemed capable of passing to another QPR team mate, we hoofed long balls up to Zamora and Cissé despite the fact that Garrido and Bassong were eating that up all afternoon. Hoilett was poor and we needed Taarabt to give us some kind of creativity today (so naturally he is on the bench).
Hill will be a liability at CB a position we knew all summer long was a necessity. Cissé was poor and Mackie ran up blind alleys all day long. I can also see why Hughes is looking at Cesar now, but really, we would be so much better at the back if we had shelled out decent money for Butland.
The caveat here is that we are only 2 games into the season so it is early days yet but,on the evidence of the last 2 gameweeks, we had seriously better hope there are 3 worse teams than us this season because we look prime relegation candidates.

Got me ticket for next week and can't wait! Based on what we've seen the last 2 games we are light years away from being a great team. Norwich got spanked 5-0 last week and we made them look like a very good team. We were lucky to get a point today and, considering the next 3 games we have coming up, you would have thought that Hughes would have gone for all 3 points from this one. Instead, at the end, Norwich were the ones sticking on extra attackers and going for the win. Sorry, but I am very concerned based on what I've seen thus far.

I'm amazed you all think it wasn't a penalty as I thought it was and Cisse did. I wasn't watching SSN with Paul Merson describing our game who apparently said 'what was that for...blah blah...........' and then watching the replay saying 'ah, yeh that was a penalty'.
Thought we were understandably shaky early on and Traore needs a rocket up his backside for not challenging for their goal.
BUT........
Second half we were more sound by the minute and the longer the game went on the more I thought we might nick a better result.
We were at our bogey ground and got a result.
Onwards and upwards, we will get the odd unexpected result away and we will be better at home when everyone is settled in and probably with a few other bodies as well.
TOP TEN.

Back, or just about, seemed like the car was a boat at times. A few thoughts....
Green - really poor on commanding his area, both on crosses and coming out to claim through balls. Made a save that you'd expect him to but badly needs competition to up his game. Hill - struggled again, can't see him being our regular CB after the en of this week. Fabio - caught out of position again for the goal but an improvement on last week. A better RB than LB. Traore

Onouha should be starting alongside any new CB we get.

Balls, brain must be waterlogged, like I was saying... Traore - dependable again, should play every week but so one footed and struggles when forced onto his right foot. Park - played well, looking forward to seeing more from him. Zamora - didn't jump for any balls played up, hence why he didn't win any decisions from clatter erg throughout the match.
Overall, we were very average. What I noticed was how we looked jaded about twenty minutes from the end, last week as well, they seem unfit to me?
Still, the pies were good

At last we were closing down and not giving everyone a week to think about where to play the ball. It is all far too reminiscent of last year, I'm certain they all thought 'ah with all our new signings it is not going to be half as hard as last year'. Yes it is and get into gear from the the second the gun bangs. TOP TEN. U Rssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!

i think we will get a point against city.
i dont know what the training consisted of last week but whatever it was it
was utterly time wasted because the performance for me was a fraction better.
when you consider swansea won again very easilt today and norwich got
hammered last week as we did we would expect to win today.
i think a draw verses city is the least to expect considering the players we have . and i think more work on the training ground this week will see a better
performance next time. (i hope)

Well we didn,t win but we didn,t lose. A points a point a point. I really dislike Bradley Johnson, how gets gets away with his snide play I don,t know. He committed 7 fouls, and how that doesn,t give him a red or at least a yellow, beats me. The mentality of the Naaarwich, fans, they voted Johnson MOTM.

Hill will play for us again, horses for courses, people wrote him off last season as well. He won't be up ugainst that semi pro fat thug every week for starters. Holt got both Hill and Ferdinand booked by clinging onto them. Snodgrass and a couple of others are also dirty snidey cheats as well. Can't see Hughton putting up with it for that long but he'll change little in the short term.
A point there is always welcome regardless of the teams involved, it's as rare as rocking horse shyte.
Agree with bp in that I too felt more comfortable as the game wore on. Correct decision to bring on Derry and not concede a late goal, even more so considering Diakite struggled for most of the game. Won't be saying that often this season hopefully. Norwich certainly did not throw on more strikers chasing the win, they simply replaced their front pair with their second choice pair so not actually an improvement.
Fabio was miles out of position for the goal and it's down to him not Traore as there should have been no cross into the box. He chased the ball into the centre like a nine year old. He was miles out of position minutes later when they launched a ball down the left. Obviously something was said as he improved subsequently.
Traore lost interest or fitness and stopped running so was rightly replaced. He also kept giving the ball away, which was doing my nut in. He also gave it short to Diakite too often when the bloke was surrounded!!!
Hoillet and Mackie need to learn about the byline, get to it and cross, that's what you do when you have Zamora and Cisse on the pitch, also Cisse won't run offside when the ball is cutback.
Zamora looks like he doesn't want to be there but isn't that how he always looks? Goal celebration was phenominal.....
I'd work with the back four that finished the game in readiness for Saturday. They also look like they need to work with the ten yard rope to ensure togetherness but it looked better to me.

A different game plan yesterday but for me it still wasnt right. Last week we tried to play the short passing game but were too slow moving the ball forward and this week we ditched that and played the long ball up to Zamora, who won nothing against Bassong all afternoon.
Result wise its a rarity to pick up anything at Carrow Road, so I guess we settle for the point but there was little satisfaction to be gained from the performance. Hill is a lovely bloke but he will come up against better and quicker strikers than Grant Holt and yet he was one foul off a red card as he struggled to contain him. Lets hope to god that we can further strengthen our defence before the transfer window shuts. If we can get a water tight keeper and back line it will promote confidence further up the field where I believe, once gelled, we have the quality to create chances and score goals.

I can only say this is not what I expected from QPR this season - Thus far at least.
Pre-Season, if you'd say Shock home defeat versus Swansea and Draw at Norwich - I wouldn't have been devastated by that. But way playing is.

Not panicking, i dont panic, just worried for my club.

As for the penalty and nobdoy appealing, I knew Zamora appealed as I saw him at the time. On MOTD from behind the goal, every QPR player in view appeals for the pen.

I think the negative response to the performance is legitimate...we were poor against a poor team & its hard to pick out many positives. What isn't legitimate is writing off the season, players or manager on one game...we're not relegated, we have improved the squad & the last thing we need is yet another manager.
