Good purchase and lets hope Onouha can now step up as a central defender alongside Anton. We also have Clint and Nelsen to be called upon as different types of stoppers and depending on who the opposition is. Maybe we wont need that expensive Central Defender after all !! I was just about to type something similar but then even Anton's place may not be guaranteed. Especially if the guy from France signs.

QPR agree Bosingwa deal By Jacob Murtagh Aug 17 2012 Add a comment Recommend inShare 1Share on emailShare on print QPR have agreed a deal with former Chelsea full-back Jose Bosingwa. Fancy a Bet? Free £25 Bet with Blue Square The Portugal international was shown the exit door by the Blues in the summer after four years at Stamford Bridge. Bosingwa made more than 125 appearances for Chelsea, featuring 43 times last season to help them to FA Cup and Champions League glory. However, the 29-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements by new boss Roberto Di Matteo as he shapes his squad for the new campaign. But Rangers chief Mark Hughes has handed Bosingwa the chance to remain in west London with the R's. Meanwhile, Joey Barton is poised to join French outfit Marseille on a season-long loan, with central defender Stephane Mbia heading in the opposite direction. It's a tad strange that an international footballer that cost £16 mill four years ago is available on a free with few takers....Having said that, he's looked pretty decent whenever I've seen him, with one glaring exception, so is certainly an upgrade and explains Young not getting a squad number. Exactly what I'm thinking. Usually with 1 year left they would try and flog him elsewhere to get some money. I wonder if he just didn't get along with the Chelsea Mafiosa and Di Matteo is a soft touch who does what they say. Played over 40 games last seaon for the FA Cup and Champions League winners and started in both finals. He'll do for me.

Chelsea are going for the Premiership Title/Competing in the European Championship. So to be fair, they need the best of the best. And "Very Good" may not be enough. (Now obviously, as we've seen, having great players doesnt always result in victories - but that's their approach.
We "just" need players good enough for - and experienced in - the Premiership - who'll take us to Mid table...Improve the team

I worship the ground my youngest grand-daughter walks on and she is currently in hospital to have her baby (two weeks overdue) and been having a dreadful time of it. We are all worried at present. Don't concern yourself. I promise that Grumpy Gramps will disappear soon once I get the good news.
