Unfortunatley I can not take the credit for this as I saw it on Twitter before I posted it on here. So thank Twitter Anyway an IMO unreal signing for us here, possibly one of the signings of the summer.

GREAT GREAT NEWS.... AMAZING PLAYER. If anyone had of told me 9 months ago that we would have all these players I would have thought you were mad.
THOUGHT? Would Warnock have got all these players to LR? I think not!

David McIntyre þ@davidmcintyre76
Hoilett a good signing by #QPR. Exactly the kind of player they should using their money on. Good business.

Agreed.Mark Hughes and the famous lil old QPR's 'AMBITION'(I used caps for any Fulham fans reading) is certainly attracting a better class of player. Sparky could be our Ruud Gullit

I confess not knowing much about Hoilett but assume he's a good player and a lot of you seem to rate him highly so that's good enough for me. I am concerned however we're signing too many players and with the ever increasing wage bill. I remember a couple of years ago when we didn't even have a striker for instance. Now we could probably field a squad full of them. And now we're after Bellamy as well?! At this rate we're going to have the best reserve squad in our history.
Can we all honestly tell ourselves we really need these additions? Let's not forget we beat Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and very nearly the Champions with the squad we had at the closing stages of the season. I just expected a few additions here and there. I look at what's happening to Rangers and Pompey and it makes me shudder.
I have faith in Hughes and the board so trust what they're doing, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little concerned.

George Ian Cooper þ@QPRTimes
Have questioned one or two #QPR signings this summer, but Hoilett is a good buy. Great competition on wing with Mackie, who has to stay.

Surely we will not bother with Bellamy now

I don't know. If we (the club) pretty much knew the Hoilett deal was done and dusted and seems to have been pursuing Bellamy despite that.

Génial! Putain de merde, what a signing!
He has the pace and the trickery we lacked when Adel was not at his best, and now the defenses are gonna shake when they'll see Cisse, Taarabt, Hoilett and Park attacking.

A great player in the making & a superb signing.
When he qualifies to play for England there is every chance that he will walk straight in to the squad. He is already better than any of the England wide players .
Well done to all of our management.

I'm just worried our income won't pay for the wage bill and if God forbid we get relegated what the consequences will be. As long as the club remains solvent I'm happy.

Don't worry about it Mantra, we've all been excited and let down before, just ride the wave mate. The importance of this signing runs second only behind Diakete. What a great way to wake up in AUS, Hoillet signs and the Olympics start. Ron

Tell me how. Both Pompey and Ranger spent money they didn't have and owed local businesses millions of pounds. That will not happen to us and the money is definitely there. Pompey and Rangers were corrupt.

Does my head in too, but just trying to ride it as a (kinda sad) reality of modern football - success means risk taking financially. With the size of our fanbase and ground as it is, we don't really have much "right" to be spending what we are right now. Saying that, we aren't in a particularly bad situation financially compared to other clubs, but we've got to hope that the board's business plan works for us. We can't grow without success and success mainly costs a load of money - more money than QPR as a company can generate on its own, even with TV money at our current rate of spending (new training facilities, new academy, new ground, new signings). But if all that leads to more success, that means we expand and we start to get on an even keel. From the board's point of view it's about establishing ourselves as a Premier League regular - we're punching above our weight at the moment, but if it works out, we'll get bigger and belong where we are financially. If it all goes to pot we are in a fair bit of trouble financially, despite the best words and intention from the board. But on the other hand, it looks a pretty good plan! It could work. And if you're going to try for that level of success, you got to take the risk full on. Just like any club, you either stay as you are, find your level and stagnate, or you commit to making a new higher level and gamble on staying there. Hope it pays off - either way, it's pretty exciting
