Yeah about time we took 4-6 points off them in season , the good thing is Barton misses the first one as we dont want any more seconds with Bradley Johnson ? One of the more obnoxious trolls we had last year was 'utterlyhuckerby' who ponced around on this board for a while. It would be good to shove it down his throat this season.

By Jamie Sanderson - 11th July, 2012 Junior Hoilett transfer: Newcastle and QPR open talks with wanted winger Newcastle have joined QPR in opening talks with out-of-contract winger Junior Hoilett, after his proposed switch to Borussia Monchengladbach fell through. Junior Hoilett has a pick of clubs ahead of the new season (Picture: Daily Mail) Hoilett is a free agent after leaving Blackburn at the end of his contract last month and has had no shortage of interest after sparkling for Rovers last season. The 22-year-old winger, who can also play up front, scored seven goals in 34 matches last term and grabbed six assists. Hoilett has long been linked with moves to Arsenal and Chelsea, but he appeared destined for the Bundesliga in early June after opening talks with Borussia Monchengladbach over a four-year deal. That transfer broke down and Hoilett has now frantically begun negotiations with Premier League duo Newcastle and QPR. Alan Pardew is not desperate to wrap up the transfer with Demba Ba set to stay at St James' Park, but the Magpies boss would still like to strengthen his squad. QPR are more serious, it seems, and are set to meet with the player later this week to continue talks while Sunderland and former club Blackburn are waiting in the wings. Hoilett, who was born in Canada, would prefer to stay in England as he still harbours ambition of representing England in the future. About an hour ago, Tony Fernandes tweeted - "About to announce a renewal something that I think will make QPR fans very happy", which I assume is Taarabts contract renewal, but don't hold me to that ;-)

A QPR fan on Twitter who has no reason to lie said he saw Hoilett and TF at Loftus Road today. Well if you're a "follower" of that particular tweeter, then you can evaluate his past posts and judge. But the number of times, people have made up stories in tweets and messageboards...

I was at Loftus Road today. I saw an expensive black car waiting in front of the stadium. But it could well have been my granma's. And they are repainting the outside of Loftus Road. It looks great.
I know nothing on that deal, but what a hell of a signing Hoilett would be!

Reckon it will be announced tomorrow. They normally do the photo shoot etc the day before it's announced. Look at Park, Diakite, Barton etc.

Steve Bateman @steviebateman Understand that the deal #QPR have offered to Junior Hoillett does not meet his £52,000pw wage demands. Hopeful of resolution. #NUFC #SAFC

QPR lead chase for Sunderland target Hoilett Junior Hoilett By Graeme Anderson Published on Thursday 12 July 2012 09:22 SUNDERLAND target Junior Hoilett looks set to join free-spending Queens Park Rangers over the next few days – forcing a rethink of the Black Cats’ transfer strategy. The Blackburn Rovers winger was high on Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill’s summer wish list, with the 22-year-old’s pace and invention capable of transforming the Black Cats’ attacking options. But the out-of-contract Canadian (pictured), the shining star of Rovers’ relegation season, is hot property and there have been a host of other suitors for his signature. As well as interest from Sunderland, Newcastle United and Everton, German side Borussia Monchengladbach made a determined move to take him to the Bundesliga and were confident they had got their man before being put off by wage demands of around £50,000 a week. That’s a figure which would have been a sticking point for both the North East clubs. Such a weekly wage would be well in excess of anything anyone at Sunderland is on, but well within the range of Queens Park Rangers, who are backing manager Mark Hughes’ rebuilding plans with vast amounts of cash. The Londoners signalled their ambitions this week with the signing of Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung, and it seems they will now match the demands of Hoilett’s representatives. Rangers seem prepared to consider the compensation figure of £4m that Rovers are insisting on. Sunderland could now increase their interest in Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady. The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international – who worked previously under O’Neill at Celtic – has made it clear he does not plan to sign a new contract with the Russian club. And while he still has two years remaining on his current contract, Spartak may well be ready to cut a deal. At one stage it was thought that Sunderland could be looking to recruit both Hoilett and McGeady but it is more likely a case one or the other. The Black Cats, who released nine players at the end of last season and have also allowed George McCartney and Asamoah Gyan to leave too, have made one new signing so far – out-of-contract Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar. New faces will follow, but not immediately. The club is in the market for a specialist left-back although the top priority remains improving Sunderland’s attacking options. www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/sunderland-afc/safc-news/qpr-lead-chase-for-sunderland-target-hoilett-1-4730896
