Uxbridge Rd 1902. The Shepherd's Bush Metropolitan Line station was in the middle of what is now Shepherds Bush Market. When the market opened in 1914, the station was closed and Goldhawk Rd and Shepherds Bush, now Shepherds Bush Market were opened either end of the market.

Syndercombe's Cottage stood on the site where O'neills pub is today. It was demolished in 1891 and made way for the Bush Hotel to be built.
Miles Syndercombe planned to kill Oliver Cromwell as he passed by the cottage in 1657. The assassination failed and Synercombe was taken to the Tower of London where he died, before the date of his execution. His body, however was still hanged, drawn and quartered.

A Thatched cottage 1890 stood where the entrance is to Westfields in Wood Lane.
The Gaumont Studios in Lime Grove in 1915. From 1928 it was the home of Gainsborough Pictures. The BBC bought it in 1949 and made many tv programmes there until 1991.
