Maybe. Let's see how things pan out. I would note (again) that the club did zilch - less than zilch - re Alan McDonald before his death. Also: If we're going to name a stand for example (or a room for McDonald), that's great. But McDonald is not the sole QPR Great who should be remembered, honoured, etc. (And nor did all those QPR Greats only play in the 1966/67 and 1975/76 teams) - which goes back to what degree does Fernandes and people in the Communication Department REALLY care re QPR history and QPR Greats - or truly even know about QPR history - and to what degree, just "playing to the masses" (Now whether that should even matter, is actually a fair point)

Still as sad today as it was back then. I miss him and his attitude, so do does our club.

I met Alan McDonald a good few years back at a golf event organised by Paul Jones. I was walking through the car park all ready to play not expecting to meet or talk to any of the players there that day and I saw him walking in front of me on his way to join his playing group. I was bloody terrified to say hello as this bloke is like a god to me, plucked up the courage and had a brilliant 10 minute chat right there and then, the only reason we stopped talking is because he was being announced on to the tee!. One of my most vivid and best memories and one I will never forget. What a player, what a bloke. RIP Macca sorely missed.

Yeah, I've met him a few times, including here in New Zealand. He, Tony Ingham and I were having a chat in the club shop for about 10 minutes one day, He introduced me to Tony as "That Kiwi Fella". How lucky I was as a 24 year old at that stage. Two club legends in the same place at the same time.
