Can we get him to give Dyer a lift? I was talking to a WHU fan about Dyer the other day, I told him we had given him a new one year contract and he didn't stop laughing for about 10 minutes. Apparently when he signed for West Ham he was already injured then when he recovered he broke his foot in his first reserves game.... I got the very same reaction from a WHU fan that I know. They found it hilarious that we signed him in the first place and now we give him a new contract! Come on Dyer show us how wrong we all are!

I guess Barton could sneeze and make the press (Investigation findings must be soon?) INDEPENDENT Hard times for the Culture Secretary as Joey Barton says 'I'd hate to be Jeremy Hunt' on Twitter Brian Farmer Thursday 31 May 2012 Banned footballer Joey Barton said today he would "hate to be Jeremy Hunt". Barton, given a 12-match ban by the Football Association (FA) earlier this month, posted messages on Twitter outlining his thoughts about Mr Hunt's performance at the Leveson Inquiry. The QPR midfielder tweeted: "Oh, how I would hate to be Jeremy Hunt right now." He also posted a photograph of a man in a hole digging. Barton was banned after being sent off during QPR's defeat at Manchester City on the final day of the last Barclays Premier League season. He elbowed one Manchester City player, kicked out at a second and attempted to headbutt a third. In 2008, Barton was given a six-month jail term after admitting assault and affray during an incident in Liverpool www.independent.co.uk/news/people/news/hard-times-for-the-culture-secretary-as-joey-barton-says-id-hate-to-be-jeremy-hunt-on-twitter-7808076.html

Yet more embarrassment from our Captain. FFS Hughes, just fire him and take the media heat off the club! www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/254113/Joey-Barton-gets-a-kicking/?FOOTBALL loudmouth Joey Barton yesterday aimed his latest Twitter rant at the Queen. The QPR skipper, 29, had a dig at this weekend’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, which include two extra bank holidays. He Tweeted: “OK, so its The Queens Jubilee. Great, 2 extra days off work but who really gives a sh*te about what dress Kate Middleton is wearing?” But patriotic Brits gave Barton an online kicking and pointed out he has 12 weeks off work at the start of next season. The bad boy is banned for 12 games after his red card for elbowing Carlos Tevez, 28, in the last game of the season. Swiss_James Tweeted: “Hasn’t he got about 5 months off?” And Mr Gimpson told Barton: “Thought you had booked 12 days off you turd.”

Like his hero Morrissey who tries do the same in his songs, yet then after a concert in Argentina stands along side his band members wearing "We hate William and Kate" t-shirts (before telling the fans gathered in this country built by a former colonial power that they had more right to the Falklands than his own country does). They're both hypocrites. As for Barton, just get rid. Have had enough of this snarling miserable scouser tosspot at our club.

Isn't an announcement by the club on the Barton matter due this week?

On the Official site they mentioned having started the investigation on the 25th. If it takes two weeks then there should be some announcement on Friday. However, there is a little wiggle room in that they said "The Club expects the investigation to last at least two weeks", which means it might take longer.
I am cynically assuming that they will keep JB and will announce it when England play in the Euros, or late Friday afternoon.

i could envisage us being in a negotiating process with Barton's agent and maybe another club.. At one end I could easily envisage us giving Barton a free if he didn't demand any of his three contract paid. At the other, I could imagine not giving in, if he insisted on his full contract paid...So somewhere in there, maybe...a deal is being worked out.
(I'm still waiting for the club to announce findings/punishments for the "China Brawl" which Gianni was going to investigate night and day...)

And I see on dot.org & WATRB there are supposedly rumours/reports of Barton being in a night club brawl...I guess it will soon be if it's true. (and can easily envisage him being 100% blameless: He's now got a big bullseye on him) UPDATE ITV Joey Barton believed to have been injured outside nightclub Last updated Mon 4 Jun 2012 Sport Joey Barton It is thought that Queens Park Rangers captain Joey Barton has been injured during an incident in Liverpool City Centre early this morning. Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to Eberle Street at 5.30am following reports of an altercation outside a nightclub. A 29 year old man, believed to be Joey Barton, had suffered some injuries to his his face and left the scene voluntarily. Two 21 year old men were later arrested for a public order offence. They are currently in police custody. Police Confirm Telegraph/Thom Gibbs Joey Barton punched in the face outside Garlands nightclub in Liverpool QPR midfielder Joey Barton has been attacked outside a nightclub in Liverpool, Merseyside Police have confirmed. Just another case of someone confronting Joey Barton , because of his reputation.
If he is still in the Hoops next season then he has my backing , if not then good luck to him.

How many other premiership players were outside nightclubs at 05:30 though He had probably just finished his night shift voluntary work at the soup kitchen and was in the club trying to warn youngsters of the dangers of drug taking. I guess a couple of drug dealers took exception to losing business and decided to attack Joey. Just another case our our Joey being misunderstood.

How many other premiership players were outside nightclubs at 05:30 though Quite a fair few I imagine! Though it's not as if Joey has to keep himself fit for the start of the season! I wonder if Beard still stands by 'every' contract he's given out since he's been here as he stated a few months ago? Joey is still being paid by us between now and November right? Though as they say, you can't buy this type of publicity. I hope that's his misses he's got his arm around, if not he might be getting lumped again later!

How many other premiership players were outside nightclubs at 05:30 thoughI don't know. However, I must have read hundreds of articles, seen a similar number of tv news items about premiership footballers who have been outside a nightclub at whatever time in the morning. The difference is mostly that those prem footballers have been doing the assaulting, rape, drugs, tarts etc not the one being assaulted. Let me think now - end of the season, no game Saturday, more money than I know what to do with, training runnning down for hols, country going into celebration mode for Jubilee hmmm...

Whole thing's weird... why does he wanna hang round grubby back alleys and, ahem, "gay-friendly" bars/clubs at 5 in the morning? My personal opinion is that he's trying to illustrate his outre credentials and present himself as a victim of a hate crime. Why can't he just sod off to Hawaii or wherever it is the seriously minted go and just chill-out, relax and keep his head down?!

not great press again but it is obviously him being targeted.
true he has made a rod for himself but where others will turn the other cheek
unfortunately he never will it is not in his dna unfortunately .
i dont disagree with the club if they keep him on but he is never captain
material unfortunately one of dare i say it warnocks great ideas in the first
place to give unpredictable players some sense of responsability in order
to attempt to curb the error of their ways as he did to taraabt the season
before.
worked then unfortunately did not work on barton.
