This "Pass it on" clip is so boring that I fell asleep after one minute. We need to get rid of Lotto. These guys are useless. That orange away kit was the biggest joke ever.

Horrible of Norwich to do that to one of their own fans. Kits get leaked all the time, there are websites for that exact purpose.

Norwich City kit published on internet by boy ahead of launch
Chris Brown said he was deeply sorry and regretted his actions
A 17-year-old Norwich City fan has angered the club he supports by leaking pictures of its new kit 12 hours before the official launch.Norfolk Police were called in after IT student Chris Brown published images of the 2012-13 strip on the internet. Chris has apologised to the club, which said it would protect its intellectual property at all times. The teenager, from Norwich, managed to obtain the pictures from the Canaries' website as it was being updated. He did not hack into the website, but was able to take the images from a section of the site that was being worked on. 'Security breach' He said: "I'm sorry for any offence I might have caused to the club, but I would never do anything malicious or spiteful because I do have an interest and love the football club." Continue reading the main story “Start Quote We won't allow anybody to come in and take [our intellectual property] from us” Norwich chief executive David McNally The season ticket holder, who has followed the team home and away since he was about 11 or 12 years old, said he was called by the football club at 04:30 BST on Wednesday after posting the new kit on Twitter and internet forums on Tuesday night. He said he was "shocked" to receive the telephone call, during which the club asked him how he obtained the pictures and where he had posted them. When asked by the BBC whether he thought posting the pictures was wrong, Chris said: "Not at first, maybe when I was getting retweets and mentions from people on Twitter, that's when I sort of thought 'should I really have done this?', and I do regret it." His mother Trish Brown said: "I feel Norwich could have handled it better. "I feel they could have spoken to Chris and myself... and just discussed why he'd done it, asked him a few more questions, before involving the police." Norwich City new kit for 2012/13 unveiled by Delia Smith The kit for next season was unveiled at Carrow Road on Wednesday She added: "He knows he's probably done wrong by taking it a bit further, but that was just excitement to show other people what he had done." The club's chief executive David McNally said he had asked for a report into what happened. He said: "We are the guardians of the football club whilst we're here and so we will protect our property. "And our property in the digital age involves our intellectual property, so we won't allow anybody to come in and take it from us." Norfolk Police said in a statement: "We can confirm we are making inquiries into a reported electronic security breach. A 17-year-old boy is assisting us with our inquiries." The club has not said if it will pursue the matter any further legally. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-17767236

Little surprised that a much bigger deal is not being made. I think the Norwich action is so horrendous Huffington Post Norwich City Fan Chris Brown Regrets Leaking Club Kit Pictures Chris Brown has apologised for his act A teenage football fan has spoken of his regret after he was reported to police for leaking images of Norwich City's new home kit on the internet. Seventeen-year-old IT student Chris Brown was contacted by Norfolk Police after he published pictures of the 2012/13 strip on Twitter and online forums hours before the official launch. The teenager, a Norwich City fan, said he was "very apologetic" for obtaining the images from the Canaries' website as it was being updated. But he admitted he was "upset" the club had contacted police about the incident. He told the Press Association: "The club said they would contact me first but they didn't, and that upsets me. "There's been a lot of mentions on Twitter and people agree there has been a big over-reaction. "I regret what I've done and I'm very apologetic. But I will always love and follow Norwich City." A statement from Norfolk Constabulary said: "We can confirm we are making inquiries into a reported electronic security breach. A 17-year-old boy is assisting us with our inquiries." www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/04/19/norwich-city-chris-brown-regrets-leaking-club-kit-pictures_n_1437725.html?1334851557&ncid=edlinkusaolp00000008

Well this was news to me.
My son Chris Brown being a Norwich fan having been born & rasied in Ipswich!
My wife (his mother) Trish as a fromer ST holder at Portman Road would have kicked him out. And he lied about his age. Teenager indeed!
Seriously, surely his apology is enough. I don't believe he acted with any malice or for financial gain & this investigation must be costing the police money that would be far better spent elsewhere.

What also makes it worse is that the teenager didn't steal them per se. From what I can tell in the story he took them from the website before they were properly linked to. It's not like he hacked anything. It was on their website and its pretty much their fault that they didn't do more to hide the images from the rest of the world.

The other things:
Who was hurt by this action? Financially or otherwise?
And isn't that everyone tries to do for every club? (I can't remember who it was or where, but repeatedly on QPR Boards been efforts (sometimes successful) to "scoop" re New shirts...or new crest. (And of course some made a whole "career" at QPR of disseminating club information with a nod and wink.
But as I said in a tweet: It really shows the dividing line: There is "The Club" by which is meant Owners & Paid employees: They own and run the club. But they're not "Fans" - This is just a job or business opportunity or investment. And then there are "The Fans" for whom the club -any club - is something they invest their time and their money and their emotions.
So if I was a Norwich Fan, I would hope there would be a Tsunami of protests against the club. Forget whether they're going to prosecute. Not the issue. Just to have taken it to the level of bringing in a police, is a disgrace - or to use the Yiddish word - A Shandeh!
