On what grounds?

Presumably because he has an Israeli passport.
While having previously-managed Chelsea is an objectionable item to put on your CV, I doubt they'd ban him for that!
More to come...

So the UAE tell the world how moderate they are and invite the investment of foreigners but refuse a visa for a working professional because he has links to Chelsea? They must be applauded for that!
In all seriousness though, if it is for the reason you think Mac, then it shows there is no moderate UAE.

The UAE is a country in it's own right, it's not made up of other countries

I hope Israel does qualify for that world cup. If an arab nation wants to host the event they have to extend their hospitality in equal measure to all qualifiers. If they dont like then dont bid for the event.

And now Iran cancels a game vs Partizan in Turkey because Partizan's Israeli coach Soccer: Iranians cancel match with Serbs over Israeli coach Partizan is currently in Antalia, Turkey, preparing for a spring season and was supposed to play a friendly match with Sepahan on 24 February, but the game was called off because Partizan has recently engaged an Israeli coach Avram Brant. Partizan was due to play a friendly match in Dubai recently, but that match was cancelled for the same reason. Before joining Partizan, Grant has coached several English teams and he told Serbian media he never had similar problems. “The match has been called off and I’m disappointed,” Avram said. “I was unofficially told that Iranians want no contact with me because I’m Israeli,” he explained. “It’s a shame, I never mixed politics with sports,” Avram said. “In England I worked with many Arabs and gained many friends among them,” Avram concluded. www.adnkronos.com/IGN/Aki/English/Sport/Soccer-Iranians-cancel-match-with-Serbs-over-Israeli-coach_312999010173.htmlAlso AP Iranian side pull out of Partizan Belgrade game because of Avram Grant • Sepahan Isfahan cancel game due to Israeli manager • Former Chelsea coach calls the decision 'shameful' Avram Grant says the Iranian side Sepahan Isfahan have pulled out of a friendly with his Partizan Belgrade side because he is Israeli. Partizan had been due to play the Iranians this Friday in Antalya, but have been informed their opponents will not take part any more. In an explanation posted on Partizan's official website, the former Chelsea, Portsmouth and West Ham United manager said he had been told "unofficially" that the match had been cancelled because he was Israeli, and called the decision "shameful". "I never mixed politics with sports," he said. "I had worked with many [Muslims] while I was in England, and I made friends with many of them." Partizan say they had to switch their usual winter preparations from Dubai to Antalya because of Grant's Israeli citizenship. www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/feb/20/iran-partizan-belgrade-avram-grant

It just entered my mind that if Iran, or any other Arab country, are drawn to play Israel, or any other nation, and refuse to play, simple the result should be considered as a forfeit.
If the match be in a tournament, disqualification. You name it, if this situation was to occur in any other sport, from junior level to senior, that has always been the rules.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_evolutionary_geneticsAge of the common ancestor "By estimating the rate at which mutations occur in mtDNA, the age of the common ancestral mtDNA type can be estimated: "the common ancestral mtDNA (type a) links mtDNA types that have diverged by an average of nearly 0.57%. Assuming a rate of 2%-4% per million years, this implies that the common ancestor of all surviving mtDNA types existed 140,000-290,000 years ago."[26] This observation is robust, and this common direct female line ancestor (or mitochondrial most recent common ancestor (mtMRCA)) of all extant humans has become known as Mitochondrial Eve. The observation that the mtMRCA is the direct matrilineal ancestor of all living humans does not mean either that she was the first anatomically modern human, nor that no other female humans lived concurrently with her. Other women would have lived at the same time and passed nuclear genes down to living humans, but their mitochondrial lineages were lost over time. This could be due to random events such as producing only male children." Begs the question... Would armoured dinner jacket ever accept he was related to the people he despises?
