This should have been an 'over sold' game surely?
Interested in why it wasn't a full house. Not featured on the box, Saturday rather than a Sunday or Monday night so no real excuses about travel.
Did the media hype it too much and 'frightened' off 2,000+?
Ticket prices?
We 'knew' we'd not take it as seriously as the league?
Interested in why YOU didn't go

For me it was too expensive. I feel that club has really messed this one up. They could have offered money off if you went to the MK Dons match (which would have insured both being a sell out) or exchanging the season ticket refunds for a ticket.
Most of the empty seats seemed to be in the lower Loft which is the family area so obviously parents didn't want to take kids to this particular game.
Heard lots of stories already about Chelsea in the home end getting told where to go after celebrating their cheating goal. Apparently another Chels*** fan brought his 3 kids in with him and got the hump when they were to f**k off and move by Rangers fans.

The club doesn't do itself any favours for this sort of match restricting STs and Members to buying one ticket only. Allow STs and Members two tickets in the restricted sale period and this would have sold out and kept Chelsea out of home areas. The price is the another reason the game was not sold out. Possibly also trouble may have put a few, with kids, off.

£40 too expensive for an early round fa cup game even against the scum......already laid out more than i can afford on an st.
League game also much more important than watching the scum we should have put our youth team out today just to insult em.

Lots of ST holders gave it a miss. Members and pick'n choosers took up most of the slack but I think it was priced too high. Sadly most don't care about the FA cup anymore.
Apparently Chels*** brought over 3k but I could hardly hear them during the game and they were nowhere to be seen before and after....

Did'nt you have a few free cup matches free when you were a season ticket holder in the past? 3 ST holders here in Lyme/Seaton gave it a miss due to the early kick off. How many R's fans now live like me miles away from Loftus Road, recession, possible fan trouble, many reasons for the attendance, think too many people making it an issue

Went away to mk cos it was half the price, just think the owners wanted to cash in a bit, not that i blame them as they are prepared to spend on transfers and wanted a bit back, but still too expensive.
Not worried about any trouble as i would have had my built like a shoithouse son with me.......... ;D

Think the upcoming game against wolves is almost sold out, so proves league games for us are much more of a pull.

But the owners think they're going to fill a 30K or 40K new stadium after the euphoria of the Premiership is gone? (And probably at higher prices)?
Sorry - I accept all the arguments made above why not more people. But this was CHELSEA...next round in FA Cup... And while we may get tired of all these games against top clubs. Surely that time has not yet arrived. Liverpool vs MAn ut today got 45K

The owners have to take responsibility for the lack of a full house. For a cup game like this it's paramount that we get the stadium full and get the ground rocking, but the price of tickets just suggested a bit of greed. 25/30 quid tickets would have sold the place out, and what's more embarassing is that out of the 15720 that were at the ground today 3000 were scum, so we managed 12720 for a local derby in the FA Cup, absolutely shocking. The owners need to take the blame for this one.

more proof we will never, and should never move from loftus road. that ground is more than adequate for a small club with a tiny fan base.

Cobblers, they didn't have 3,000 there and we didn't have over 3,000 missing!
Less that 1,000 were available on Friday afternoon and there was not over 3,000 emtpy seats.

cpr you can't argue with the fact that our stadium capacity is 18,360 and the official attendance was 15,720 and the scum sold their tickets out weeks ago and could've sold more. The numbers prove that over 2500 seats not taken.

The numbers prove that over 2500 seats not taken. I can and I did. The scum didn't fill their end, they chanted empty seats but pointed to a part of X block nobody could get to. Above X block they had empty seats. X block was full (with the exception of seats down the front which were not available online) there were certainly not swathes of empty seats there. I could not say how full Ellerslie was but the concourse and smoking area is always a good guide and it was bunged at half time. Paddocks was full, South Africa was full, upper loft had very few empty seats but you could see some rows of empty seats in the lower loft. No way were there over 3,000 empty seats, no way, not having it. Jim Gregory is back!!! ;D

The numbers prove that over 2500 seats not taken. Can I argue that the capacity is lower than that, since the changes made to the ground to accommodate the media requirements that are required for Premiership clubs and was undertaken at Loftus Road during the summer have reduced capacity further. Could I also suggest that CPR like my-self, saw with our own eyes that the official attendance figure doesn't seem right as it did not look like to us, as I agree with CPR, that there were over 2,500 empty seats in the ground. Looked more like 1,500 at most which I put down to members not wanting or being able to afford the ticket price on top of their already over-priced season ticket. If I'm, like CPR, unable to argue though, then

I think QPR fans are missing an opportunity to see QPR Play Chelsea... Because the time is fast approaching when we're not going to be playing them....as Chelsea plummet through the lower leagues, towards non-league near-oblivion (May the wish be father to the thought! ]

Why didnt the club just give that lot another 1,000 ? Better a extra 1-2,000 CFC than empty seats making us look stupid ... to think i had people having a pop at me last week when i said we were not Chelsea's rivals yesterday proved me right .

And where in the ground could we put that extra 1000 scum fans? There were enough security issues ahead of this game.

Conversely of course, those additional few that have recently assisted in getting us a few full houses were put off going due to that very rivalry, the tenacity of it, the possibilities of trouble etc from that very rivalry that does not exist.
I don't care what they think of us or the fact that they sing about about Tottenham, don't you worry, very soon they'll be singing about us. Trust me, what they think or did in the past due to the lack of a "rivalry" is changing and will soon change even further.
Step aside scum, we're coming through. ;D

Chelscum were given 3000 tickets. There were quite a few emptys mainly restricted view in s africa road and lower loft. But no way would you have got another 2500 in the ground. Saying that very poor turn out from rangers, shame on you. You know who you are!
