Go for it Maude.
They cannot possibly refuse you due to your affiliation to this board.
However, I do understand any reluctance due to their knowledge. I felt the same in the summer when I was asking them questions. I honestly felt that there was a danger of being banned by the club.

There is absolutely no question about your "right" to attend. That's made clear in their original statement.
As for a position on the Committee: I say absolutely go for it. And you can certainly say you have the support of quite a number of QPR supporters (and even season ticket holders and members)
It will be an interesting test of "The New QPR." In some ways, there are already some questions based on some other things. (I'd say as long as Fernandes, Bhatia, Beard are the ones involved, things are better.) Certainly I'm assuming the club won't seek to install apparathciks! Although sometimes I wonder if some staffer has his "thumb on the scale..."

Told anyone who might have... a yes to the first three mac, but....i sent in a question to qpr player via email and because it was QPR related i signed it as maude (a slip) when pete read it out he said the question was from Russell Wilson. i can only assume that my email address comes up on there screen with my details because i am a season ticket holder and this email was used in purchasing. i dont care and i am not bothered, what i say on here i would say to anyone face to face. but strange they chose not to use my name i linked the question to

Courtesy of Richranger....probably a bit too positive for some www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_mb.php?m=v&t=44184#3Just back from Supporters Club AGM
Was opened by Philip Beard - who gave a speech about his vision for the club.
His 3 main priorities in order of importance are:
1. Staying in the Prem - taking any step needed to to so.
2. New Training ground - offer on land in Ealing to be made soon.
3. New Stadium - very close to LR - though no actual site mentioned.
He came across really well and said how important fans were to the new administration - and I believe him too.
A new committee was elected to the supporters club who will have monthly meetings.
Also emerged that Club open days and Christmas gatherings will be reinstated for next season.
Overall very impressed from what I heard from Club reps - especially Philip Beard. We've actually got PROFESSIONALS running the club now! Hope they can fix the team too.

I probably won't recognize names of elected, but was it largely -or at all - the old OSC? And is there going to be a change in how OSC is/more autonomous of the club?

philip beard and his team are top draw, really trying to put things right at the club it seems, and it came across from them that have a lot of work to put right from the old regime, its why the club didnt have a xmas open day because the others had left our club in limbo that it was to late to plan anything.
even down to the booking charge on tickets, which he seem unaware of, but said these things need to be looked into and they will.
but in the meantime they are all out to keep our prem status.
if mr beard put a kit on and went out and played for us i'm sure he would get us the points single handedly.
becky grote said barton has created a players committee, so as to ensure players commitments to the fans, dinners, signings etc etc
believe me ,that was very positive tonight, and as eusebio's poster on lfw says, very professional.
happy birthday mr beard

And is there going to be a change in how OSC is/more autonomous of the club? mainly the same mac, but a few new to the committee as well. and yes, it looks good for the relations between the osc and the club, philip beard seemed welcoming of the new start.

Not long home from the OSC meet tonight at Loftus Road. My reason for attending was to hear what our Club had to say and to find out a little more about the OSC as It's always been a question mark to me what they actually did for us fans. It also gave me an opportunity to put names to faces for future reference.
Phil opened proceedings and I can honestly say that we are in safe hands and their hearts are defiantly in the right place and they do know what is best for Queens Park Rangers. He also gave us an honest account of how he saw things at the club past and present and what plans were in place for the future. He is also very confident that we will finally have a cup run - He has a wager banked on the fact we will.
What did disappointed me about this evening was when Phil left and the forum was handed over to the OSC. Only a small amount of people turned up this evening which seemed like the perfect environment for everyone to have their say. I did however feel very uncomfortable - everyone seemed to be family members or friends and strangers like myself felt very unwelcome - my personal opinion. The topics raised by certain individuals, the election or reelection as I would put it, seemed to be well rehearsed and staged. By the time 10 out of the 11 had been elected and seated, there were only a small handful of people left in the audience. The highlight of the evening was the LSA started casting doubt on election proceeding especially those who were elected but failed to show up. The LSA however came across as quite arrogant especially one chap who was a right clown. Somehow got elected even though he didn't apply via email before the dead line. He was questioning everything in a sinister way and moaning about why most of the OSC newly elected members were related.
I don't really know a lot about the LSA but it annoyed me that they kept slagging off QPR forums for causing trouble and hatred with other groups of QPR supporters plus spreading hate and lies using made up user names. In their eyes there were only two real QPR supporter clubs in exsistance.
In all I'm very please with what Phil had to say and it was worth while going just for that. The resurrection of the OSC seems like a very good idea on paper but time will tell if these people actually care for our well being and voice our concerns constructively. What I don't want is it to turn into a circus with a bunch of arrogant people with bullshit politics and high on a power trip.
Yours Sincerely Michael Derrane - No hiding here!

hi michael, i did not know anyone in the room, and have never met them before in my life. as for the slagging off of messageboards and its use of hiding behind usernames that only came from one person and as far as i can gather he was from the lsa, the quiteness in the room shows that he was in the minority, as i felt that every one wanted to move on and not make a debate about such things, i think i know who you was, black specs, grey hair, irish accent or similair? cheers from the guy in the blue top

Michael, you should really listen when in a meeting and get your facts corect, I am the clown you refer to-who was not representing the LSA I am just a member-it seems not only do you not pay attention but you have an issue with the LSA? The guys that bought up the issue of not electing people that had not shown up seems fair-does it not? You also say that The LSA bought up the differences between fans, to my knowledge it was someone else that suggested there were issues between fans and the LSA took the opposite stance that there really are no issues only those in the heads of some. I'd also like to pull you up on the use of the word sinister, obviously you don't get out much mate or very little interaction with humans. If you found me sinister you must live in a very lovely place with rainbows and fluffy clouds-however what ever world you reside in I suggest you keep personal attacks to yourself? Can I also suggest Michael that next time you wish to verbally attack someones charachter you dont hide away on a messageboard but you Man up and bring it up face to face. As for my election to the comittee I never saw you offer to get involved also I did not notice you object when I was elected, funny how you seem a bigger man now? In your post you also state and I quote 'I did however feel very uncomfortable - everyone seemed to be family members or friends and strangers like myself felt very unwelcome - my personal opinion' You then criticize me who was also their on my own because I pointed out that during the meeting that it seems unfair, undemocratic & slightly dodgy to have members of the same family on the committee. When a group is representing 15-20,000 people I am sure we could have found 11 unrelated and unconnected people which in my opinion is the way to and i'll quote you again here ' Avoid A circus with a bunch of arrogant people with bullshit politics and high on a power trip' Anyway to be honest I'm chuffed that I have the opportunity to represent my fellow QPR fans & I am sure many unlike you will be pleased to have represenattives on the committee that are not afraid to ask difficult questions and will not just go along with something because others do, I guess Michael that is the ultimate difference between someone like yourself and me-you will bitch and moan, hoping someone else will do something where as I will bitch and moan and do something about it. Call me a clown Michael but at least I'm a clown that has the courage to speak my mind in public, rather that than be a muppet moaning!
