Dare I say Taarabt could grab the headlines in tomorrows papers. You mean, for his trickery cutting off 90% of the team and costing us Sunderland's counter on which they almost scored? Yeah, he's good. I mean it.

Very well fought though.

The tactics were fine. We scored twice. The defending was shit, barely even Championship level. Only Traore is a legitimate Premiership prospect, and defending is his weak point. Without Kenny, we could've let in 5 or 6.
Until we get 2 or 3 new defenders, it'll be tough to string together a few consistent performances.
Warnock is once again hog-tied by having to field a team from a squad with only a handful of Premiership players. Connolly, Hall, and Gabbidon wouldn't get into any other side in the league and they're our best 3 centre halves at the moment

I would like everyone here to know I have now written off this season and am fully expecting relegation. call me negative if you want but if we don't change something drastically on the pitch then that is the only realistic outcome. Its quite ironic really that for once we have a great team of people running the club but on the field it is terrible, the complete opposite to last season.

Come on, we're obviously going to be making lots of investment in the transfer window. This team will look far different 6 weeks from now. If anything, this poor run couldn't have come at a better time, in terms of convincing Fernandez and Bhatia that we need to spend big to stay in the league

WHO IS RESPONSABILE FOR PUTTING THOSE PLAYERS ON THE PITCH? TRAINING THEM, MOTIVATING THEM? PICKING THE STARTING 11 AND FORMATION?
I dont blame the players one bit.

it's easy to turn on the manager in tough times, but why the obsession with the 4-5-1 system. when he changed it we scored twice, toooooooooo late colin, think on, lets go down having a go if we must, that's football, i'd rather that than negative tactics

If we carry on like this we won't get a point between now and the end of January.

Maybe this is the kick up their arse they need though? I would wait to see how we play against Swansea before officially declaring our season over, but this is currently relegation form. Investment is sorely needed in defence!

Come on guys , before the season started none of us thought that they would have the start that we have had . OK of late they have struggled but when you all predicted where we will finish come what May , how many said above 15th place " Not many" . There is still a long way to go and I am confident that we will finish above the trap door.

Rory I understand it hurts to lose a game like that mate, but take it into perspective we aren't in the relegation zone and unfortunately we are having to play teams with mickey mouse defenders like connolly and gabbidon. We need to stregthen without a doubt at the back, but I felt it was very encouraging that we fought back to 2-2. Helguson, Taarabt were both superb in the 2nd half but our defence as always this season let us down. Joey was non existent and that will need to be looked into, I thought Derry was the best of the midfield lot tonight. We still have over half the games left to go, we have to keep believing this is where we dreamed of being don't ruin it for yourself by giving up before the half way point. Tactically warnock wasn't spot on but his half time change got us back to 2-2 and if it finished 2-2 we would have been calling him a tactical genius for the turnaround, he cant help that matt connelly and danny gabbidon are complete and utter shite. It's all he has available to him. The defence let us down, not neil warnock. You have to look at joey barton, ale faurlin and think to yourself did they really put in a performance tonight? unfortunately no they didn't and I'm the first to say Ale had a great start to the season but in recent games he has looked poor and has been outmuscled and outclassed in the midfield, as has joey who's delivery tonight was shocking. Anyway, I feel sick just like we all do I imagine, but nothing can be done about it we must look forward to the next game against the welshy's and hope for 3 points for what is now an even more important game. Onwards and upwards.

Has anyone else noticed that we always try and get the ball out wide and cross the ball in. If you think about, nearly every goal we have scored this season has come from crosses. We never try and actually play the ball through the middle. When was the last time we had a player through one on one with the goalie like Sessegnon was with their second.

thats because we play HH up front, he's never going to use his pace to get behind defenders. You have to play to your strengths and with helguson that is clearly in the air. If DJ was up front then you could play through the middle. Sessegnon got 1 on 1 because gabbidon is shit though, if sunderland had gabbidon we would have got some 1 on 1's

HH scored and set a goal up, he was tremendous for and without his goals this season we would still be in single figures for the season. How can you say play DJ instead of him when DJ's last contribution was missing a sitter against united and helguson just scored and set mackie up?
