Bucks Free Press Rowlands set for spell out 6:07pm Saturday 26th November 2011 * By Andy Carswell » MARTIN Rowlands is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after his hamstring injury flared up again. The QPR loanee was forced off midway through the first half of Wanderers’ 4-3 defeat against MK Dons this afternoon. Manager Gary Waddock said it wasn’t a gamble to put the former Ireland international straight back into the side however. He said: “It backfired because he’s had to come off. He’s trained Thursday and Friday without any reaction. “Games like this will test anybody if they have got a slight weakness. He’ll be out for a few weeks.” www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/sport/9387595.Rowlands_set_for_spell_out/

Bucks Free Press Boss admits to Rowlands fitness gamble Friday 9th December 2011 By Andy Carswell » BLUES boss Gary Waddock admits taking Martin Rowlands on loan from QPR was a risk because of his history with injuries. The former Ireland international is out with a hamstring problem after the injury flared up during Blues' defeat against MK Dons two weeks ago and he won't face Chesterfield tomorrow. Waddock said he knew the move would prove to be a gamble despite Rowlands showing what he's capable of when he's made it onto the pitch. He said: "He's a very good player but we knew this may happen because of the period of time he's been out without first team games, so we knew he may pick up one or two strains." www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/sport/9410162.Boss_admits_to_Rowlands_fitness_gamble/
