Nancy have announced Mali midfielder Samba Diakite has joined Queens Park Rangers on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. The 23-year-old is currently on international duty at the Africa Nations Cup, but he has been allowed to fly to London to sign his contract. And QPR will have the option to sign Diakite on a permanent basis if they avoid relegation from the Premier League, according to Nancy. "It will become a permanent transfer if the London club stay in the Premier League," the Ligue 1 side said in a statement. Diakite's debut for QPR will depend on how far Mali progress in the Africa Cup of Nations. They are presently third in Group D with three points from two games, level on points with second-placed Guinea with one match to play. QPR were on Saturday knocked out of the FA Cup following defeat by Chelsea and Mark Hughes' side sit two points clear of the Premier League relegation zone. www1.skysports.com/football/news/11711/7464918/Diakite-joins-QPR-

Well I guess they like to have their profile and their interview and the player's comments already ready to go to post on the Official Site.
Cue tomorrow;s Official Site; "Diakite said how chuffed he was to play in the Premiership at London Giants Queen's Park Rangers...He was a big admirer of Mark Hughes...He was going to take one game at a time...And he was just gutted and sick as a parrot at Saturday's Chelsea loss"

OK, Suppose hypothetically that Diakite actually is joining us: Have people seen him play? Any views about how good he is/where he'll play? Central Midfield?

QPR's first $6000000 man? LOL Ooohh that is a bit pricey isn't it. Still, if he develops well, in a year's time he'll be worth twice that. Imagine Traore wide left Zaha Wide right Cisse up front, Tarrabt playing in the hole behind Cisse. With that amount of skill and pace, we would cause serious problems to a lot of defences. Oops just realised you weren't talking about ZaHa Time for bed I think
