QPR visit Stoke City F.C.
After the sterling effort against Manchester City on Saturday we find ourselves having to sit it out for two weeks and wait to see if we can pick up that level of performance again at Stoke City.
Tony Pulis has done a tremendous job at Stoke managing to keep them up for three seasons since their promotion from the Championship in 2007-08 and the way they keep investing they want to stay there .
It has always been a difficult place to try and get a result but as we know points are at a premium for the next three games before we go on to face Liverpool and Man Utd so we need to push on .
Over the years we have contested 28 League games from 1968 – 2008 , none of which have been in the Premiership .
The last top tier encounter was way back in December 1984 in the Division One .
Just one FA Cup encounter back in 1948 when QPR won 3-0 at Loftus Road.

QPR prevented Stoke from going back to the top of the Championship table with a convincing victory at Loftus Road.
Mikele Leigertwood put the hosts ahead with a stunning 25-yard drive and then struck from 12 yards from Rowan Vine's headed knock-down to double the lead.
Stoke had captain Andy Griffin harshly dismissed following a challenge for the ball with Hogan Ephraim before Akos Buzsaky's low shot made it 3-0.
The Potters hit the woodwork twice and worked hard but without reward.
QPR coach Luigi De Canio:
"We have beaten the top teams this season.
"This shows we need to acquire the mentality when playing teams at the bottom of the table that we show against teams at the top.
"Consistency is important, because our position in the table is defined by our performances week in, week out."
Stoke manager Tony Pulis on Griffin's dismissal:
"I don't think it's a sending off.
"I think Andy has played the ball. He has not put their player in any danger whatsoever. He slid in to get the ball and played it cleanly.
"I hope the referee is big enough to look at it and say he's made a mistake. That is all we are asking for."

Andy Thomson's 23rd-minute strike was enough to give QPR a 1-0 win over promotion candidates Stoke City on their return to Division Two.
Rangers - in their first game in the third tier of the league since 1967 - got off to the start manager Ian Holloway would have wanted.
Thomson struck a sweet shot from the edge of the penalty area following Stuart Wardley's pass, to leave Gavin Ward helpless in the Stoke goal.
Rangers dominated the game and could well have added to their tally against a Stoke side who had four players booked.
Thomson, Marcus Bignot and Steve Palmer all went close but in the end Holloway had to settle for the 1-0 victory.
