Great save by Kenny at the start of teh 2nd half, Taarabt came close a moment ago. I must say we are getting abck into the game after a dodgy 10 mins of the 2nd half - and we ar eplaying some neat footie. Now score guys.

First game but you can see some signs of things to come. One thing is for sure we need to up our gamesmanship if we want to survive. Kevin Davies is falling down at every opportunity and winning free kicks as a result - one which created theri 2nd goal.
What concerns me is our lack of cutting edge up front - plenty of good football but no edge.
Damn another og - 3-0 now

Briatore has got to be the biggest dunce in the world if he thinks we can field a team that is competitive in this league

I'd give the Gabbidon goal somewhere between unlucky and piss-poor, but with the way he's played all day it trends much more towards utter shite

Lesson no.1 Neil - mistakes get punished big time in this league. That is the difference between the 2 teams at the moment.
Roll on Utd, City & Chelsea. ;D

50 pounds to see the great teams of the premier league (such as Bolton, lol)...no matter what the result you will get an extraordniary experience (but for that pay another 20 pounds). 100 million seems less and less likely though...

Clint Hill was stupid but Petrov should have gone off as well for putting his elbow in - but that's Premiership football for you. The newcomers will get less than zero help from the refs.
Time for the a hard & honest assessment; We started off well had 3 or 4 chances and then went behind just before h/t and you could see the team fall apart. There was a brief revival after about 55 mins but once that og went in it was all over.
Quite simply we gave up, made far too many errors and it was men vs boys after that. The Hill dismissal was the cherry on top and that little incident highlighted the diofference between the 2 teams. Bolton experienced, sneaky and making the most of their chances and QPR? Babes in the woods.
Bottom line is this club needs a serious injection of experienced Premiership players and this club neds ot grow up quickly. We also need to learn to take our chances.
No surprises to be honest - the gulf between the 2 leagues is huge - and there is no room for errors at this level.
No insults but this was Bolton and they cruised to an easy win. Imagine if it was Arsenal, the Machester clubs, Chelsea or Liverpool.
Not all doom and gloom, we played some good football at times but we need to grow up - and the board needs to smell the coffee.
MoM - Cahill for me. QPR MoM - Derry.

Memo to the owners. If you want to make some money spend some before the transfer window closes!!!

Let's hope the Derry-to-Palace stories are nonsense. Cos he looked quietly efficient

Agree Mac - he was the only Rs palyer who seemed to give a damn after 60 mins.
And Flabman Crashman needs to learn that you don't make money without spending some first.

No question about it MOM for us has to be Derry. Adel still doesn't like to part with the ball and is not and never will be a captain except in name! In my opinion people are relying on him too much and I am not convinced he can cut it at this level. Hence, watch his transfer value go down.

There is a reason why Spurs were prepared to sell such an obvious talent to us. Still he may, like the rest of teh team, learn quickly and grow up. At least I hope so or we are in big trouble before end Oct.

On the bright side, he's less likely to get sold by the end of August. And I think he showed enough skills, he belongs in the Premiership...If he grows up...If he passes more, etc.
