Ok then, first home game, someone get Rodney to arrive at the ground, then with the bbc cameras rolling we can storm the gates and get Rodney inside, then he can chin the Donut (with chants of RODNEEEEE heard all around the ground)
Sounds like a good plan to me.

1] Alec Stock will always be a well thought of QPR legend. I am very proud to have his name associated with QPR. As said, a VERY big black mark against Jim Gregory for that move.
2] Rodney will continue to be a QPR Legend - he was long before and will be long after these three idiots running ths show have long gone.
3] Every day I look up at the wall of my flat and feel the presence of greatness watching over me. With reference to my Framed Rodney Photo & 19687 League Cup Final replica sign by our three goalscoring heroes.

Disgusting but I'm afraid typical behaviour by Paladini and Flav.
I guess it's "the Italian Way".

Just looked at Toffs.co.uk. A hooped 1964-74 shirt with "Rodney Marsh" & "10" on the back with a REAL club badge = 50 pounds. Might have to get the maxed out credit card into action! Instead of buying this seasons kit, buy that instead.

What about, start up a chant, Rodney Rodney, give us a wave etc that'll get them sending stewards scuttling everywhere looking for him! ;D

The ground reverberating to that chant again would be almost spine chilling!!!! ;D

Sounds good idea actually. A peaceful protest and an acknowledgment of who the real "Legend" is at QPR.

Wouldn't that be a great thing to hear ringing round the ground again!!!
'Rodney'......'Rodney'......'Rodney'......!!
Brilliant idea.

The ground reverberating to that chant again would be almost spine chilling!!!! ;D 90 minutes of that would send a message and a word to the media would send a strong positive message.

On the other hand, I have today read elsewhere some truly ignorant posts about Rodney Marsh - and who knows how representative that other point of view might really be!

LFW have also got around to sugesting that the ROD-NEE chant could be our best anti board song/chant.
Would love someone to start this on Saturday & then for us to stick with it at every game until they have gone.
It could of course be a little too subtle for our board to understand!

For those who seem a little ignorant about Rodney Marsh (and you certainly don't have to agree with all his opinions he's expressed over the years; and certainly free to argue the merits of Marsh/Bowles.)
But Marsh has long said his "true love"/#1 Club is QPR. Not Fulham. Not Manchester City. Not Tampa Bay Rowdies. But QPR.

Good find Rory. Much ado about nothing then! Not that fans reaction had anything to do with it.

F*** it, I still reckon we go ahead with the Rodneeee Chant as a general peaceful protest against the board!

Stocky, Please feel free to put up on here anything about your late father. Honestly, we are genuinely interested. A great man and servant for QPR - even to those of us whom joined the club well after his departure. We read our history and his name is attached to so much of our modern ethos - other than what the current vultures are in to (Neil Warnock of course is not part of that)

Quite happy to answer any questions-although do remember I was only 12 when Gregory sacked dad ( and he did-no matter what anyone else may say!)As well as being a great manager-he was a wonderful father -although I may not have said so at the time as I have been reliably informed I have the same temperment-stubborn and always right! Not a good combination when I was 17! Miss him -and mum-dreadfully but am incredibly proud of him, as are the whole family. Thought of him a lot today when the riots were being discussed - he was born into real poverty - but would not understand the mind set of some people today. But I am digressing- another family trait.....

Sense of humour? Wry and fine tuned - without any resort to what he referred to as 'blue jokes' - which he hated. Saw men who came out with such stuff as 'little boys'. Very keen observer of life-albeit in a limited sphere as he lived, ate and breathed sport. Loved Morecambe and Wise - if that helps!
