Histon signing Danny Fitz the bill for LivermoreDefender Danny Fitzsimons has signed for Histon. The 19-year-old left-back made six appearances for the Stutes during a loan spell from QPR last season. After being released by Rangers, he joined Yeovil in January and had been offered a contract by the Somerset side for this season, but chose to return to the Glass World Stadium instead. Manager David Livermore said: “Danny is exactly the type of young, hungry player I want here at the club. "He has had a good schooling with the likes of Millwall, QPR, Yeovil and the Irish under-18 side and has the desire to get back into the League, which is something I believe he can achieve. "It’s a credit to him that he has turned down the opportunity at Yeovil to join us in order to play regular first-team football. "I think it’s a terrific deal for the club and for Danny." Fitzsimons is set to feature in tonight's friendly at King's Lynn. www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Sport/Histon-signing-Danny-Fitz-the-bill-for-Livermore-01082011.htm
