Sacked for being in sixth place , Mancini beware! Ronnie is Rotherham manager no Moore Ronnie Moore was last night sacked at Rotherham after crisis talks with the Millers board. Moore was dismissed by United chairman Tony Stewart after a dismal run of results that seen Rotherham drop out of the automatic promotion places. Rotherham were thrashed at local rivals Chesterfield on Friday night and Moore paid the price yesterday with the boot. Moore has been without a win in five games and leaves the Millers for the second time in his career.

BBC otherham part company with Ronnie Moore Ronnie Moore Moore had been in charge of the Millers for 18 months Ronnie Moore has left his position as manager of Rotherham after 18 months in charge, reports BBC Radio Sheffield. The Millers, who were third in League Two at the end of February, have since picked up three points from five games. They now lie five points adrift of the automatic promotion places after a run of five games without a win, including Saturday's 5-0 defeat at Chesterfield. Andy Liddle, Paul Warne and Andy Dibble are expected to take temporary charge for Friday's game at Lincoln. It was Moore's second spell in charge of Rotherham after previously managing the Yorkshire club between 1997 and 2005, leading them to back-to-back promotions from the old Division Three to Division One. newsvote.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/r/rotherham_utd/9432120.stm

I watched them get hammered the other evening and what Moore said after the game was absolutely spot on. Everything he said about all that went wrong in the game was right on the money!
Sadly the kneejerk reaction is all too familiar these days.
I like Moore as well, good sense of humour, in fact, I'm sure he'd make an excellent comedian. ;D
