.It's that time again when we look back at the best managers and players from the last month.
The winners of the npower Manager and Player of the Month Awards for February will be announced this Friday and as usual there are plenty of high-quality candidates from all three divisions after a busy period for all of the teams.
Warnock and Rodgers: who was the top gaffer in February?
As a member of the voting panel I thought I'd share my thoughts with you. Feel free to let me know if you think I've picked the right men or if there's somebody from your club that should have been included. You can add your comments by filling in the form at the bottom of the page.
Championship
Manager of the Month Nominees: Sven Goran Eriksson (Leicester City), Dave Jones (Cardiff City), Brendan Rodgers (Swansea City), Neil Warnock (QPR)
.My choice would be Brendan Rodgers, who had the Swans fans a-singing in the month of February. They took 15 out of a possible 18 points, scoring 13 goals and keeping four clean sheets in the process. That record has kept them hot on the heels of leaders QPR in the race for promotion.
Player of the Month Nominees: Matty Fryatt (Hull City), Heidar Helguson (QPR), Andy King (Leicester City), Connor Wickham (Ipswich Town)
For me there are two outstanding candidates. Firstly, Matty Fryatt has made a massive impact at Hull since signing in the transfer window. The former Leicester hitman has already contributed six goals to their previously toothless attack, four of them in the month of February. Secondly, 17-year-old Connor Wickham has responded brilliantly since becoming a first-team fixture under Paul Jewell at Ipswich. His all-round performances have shown maturity that belies his age - and the goals started to flow in February, including a hat-trick in a fantastic 6-0 win at Doncaster. So much is expected of him and if he continues to develop at this rate, he might fulfil my prediction that he would become an England player.
