I can elucidate further later:
But my posts yesterday were just to underscore what I originally posted when I set up this Board. To try and make this a neutral ground forum where the focus would only be on QPR and football.
And to be a forum where you can either criticize or praise (or both or neither) - but "gently."
Obviously I want more posters - and to the degree anyone can get more: The logic being of course that people can post on their "own" site and also here. But anyway.
And the rationale for not having a seperate forum for social, political, cultural: I mean obviously there are other topic. I could do it. But I'd rather not. And I found when the topic moved to politics, current events, that got extremely divisive .
I'll do more. But I pretty much set it out at the top:
In one thread I said: " This site is going to focus solely on QPR and football and without any board "agenda" or point of view.
This board is trying to send a message that we're all QPR fans who just may have different perspectives and opinions about what's best for QPR, etc. By avoiding politics and "Current Events" (not to mention social activities, films, concerts and dating), this site hopefully will be a haven for people who disagree - sometimes very vociferously - on so many other issues."
And in far more detail in "Messageboard "Focus and Purpose"
qprreport.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=8
I think this is what sets this site apart. And what should (maybe won't - but should) attract more readers/posters than it does.
But for me personally, how this site has been thus far has been what I set out it for be - with the obviously important caveat - not enough posters
Thanks
