I remember when Neil worked at the supporters club back in the early 1990's, I was just a scruffy teenager then and used to always get my tickets from him for away games after school, it was always Neil and Daphne and for a while I thought they were mother and son. I was gutted when he left the club and didn't some fans hold a protest about his departure at an away game at Villa on the tv? I might have imagined that.
Anyway best of luck to Neil, he will always be a part of the furniture at QPR for me and I hope he pulls through this.
"This is Neil's mum. Sorry I have taken so long to write this message, but I had trouble registering. I just wanted to thank everyone concerned on behalf of all the family who made January 23rd (QPR v. Coventry) such a memorable day for Neil. So many people were invoved in this - the staff at the stadium, the fans who knew Neil and met us at the pub after the game and, of course, last but not least Stan Bowles, Neil's hero. None of us will forget your kindness - we are now firm QPR fans! Once again thank you all so much. Pat "
