I't getting pathetic now.
Allardyce did not replace gray in the commentary box, they said on yesterday's coverage that he would be making his debut. Gray and Keys play with a giant ipod and a piece of plastic grass on MNF, Gray never commentates.
As for the female assistant referee, the second decision she made, to give a player offside, was wrong but nobody mentions that.
These are facts, not stories made up to make the headlines bigger.
As for Ferdinand, drug cheat, who screams vitriol through his vile mishapen mouth at officials on a weekly basis, he should simply stay well out of it.
I can't stand either of these two Sky idiots but the height of the moral high ground must be making a lot of people ill, it's simply ridiculous.
Footballers, by nature, from an early age, are sexist, the FA insist on it by excluding females as I may have mentioned already.
However, ensuring all match officials are female may well improve the behaviour of the vast majority of players, managers et al.

You are so right about that whole Rio Ferdinand Twitter thing, he should stay well quiet especially with his history.

Yes, lets sack them for having a completely normal & inoffensive PRIVATE male conversation. Actually, they wont get sacked because they work for Sky & not "Diversity" Fascists like The BBC. I'm no fan of Andy Gray or Richard Keys but I'd take them anyday over Manish & that hideous clearly homosexual man on the football league shows that goes around football grounds seemingly trying to chat up at the managers at whatever club he is at that week. And if you are offended by my post, you can go to Hell! Im no fan of Manish or Claridge either , who you reffering to the bald headed guy who sucks up to the Managers! Think his called Clem , know what i call him KLR and it isnt Clem! Mark Clemmit is a reporter on BBC One's The Football League Show in the 2009/10 season. Clemmit is also a regular on BBC Radio 5 Live and co-presents 5 Live Football League with Arlo White, a review of the top stories from the Championship and the Football League. He has also previously hosted a regular sports slot on the North East & Cumbria edition of Look North. In January 2010, Clemmit became presenter for the North East & Cumbria edition of the regional football show Late Kick Off. Yeah he's called Clem, awful awful character & disturbing to have to watch him making thinly veiled sexual advances to league football managers week after week. A completely uncalled for spectacle IMO, but I suppose this is what you get with the "Inclusivity" "Diversity" brigade isnt it ? Camp Clem chatting up football managers, it really is a bit much for an old fashioned bigot like me, you almost cant wait for them to go back to the studio for Manish & the desk perching C*nt with the double barrelled surname. Most be the worst format in a football programme ever, just awful.

Well for my 2 cents worth, I dont give a F*** whether it is a man or a woman running the line.
If they can do the job properly, good on them. And she certainly got that call correct. Half the male linesmen cant get to grips with the offisde rule and when is a player interferring or not interferring in the play.
Down here we have in the A League a female linesperson who is actually pretty good.

Having read some of the other comments on a certain other QPR board, I'd say that Klr in comparison to some of those, comes across as a raving feminist!

Mail Sky suspend Andy Burton as shamed Andy Gray and Richard Keys face calls to be axed By Sportsmail Reporter 25th January 2011 Andy Burton is the latest casualty of the Sky Sports sexism scandal after the reporter was suspended for his role in the second batch of leaked footage. The reporter now faces uncertainty over his future with the broadcasters along with Richard Keys and Andy Gray, whose positions look untenable as their own network made fresh revelations about their sexist conduct. Like Keys and Gray, who were pulled from Monday night's coverage of Chelsea win at Bolton, Burton has stood down from his broadcasting duties for Wednesday's Carling Cup semi-final second leg between Birmingham and West Ham. SKY SPORTS STATEMENT I have spoken directly to both Richard Keys and Andy Gray this morning. It has been made clear to each of them that their comments were totally unacceptable. Those views are inexcusable, entirely inconsistent with our ethos as a business and employer, and will rightly offend many of our customers, our people, and the wider public. They are inexcusable from anyone at Sky, regardless of their role or seniority. We have dealt with this matter by taking immediate disciplinary action. As with any employee it would not be right to go into detail on those proceedings. However, they have been clearly warned about their behaviour and reminded of their responsibilities. In addition, Richard and Andy will not be involved in any way with tonight's live Monday Night Football. Barney Francis, Managing Director of Sky Sports The new footage - recorded on Saturday before Wolves played Liverpool - shows Gray in conversation with Burton, who describes Massey as a 'bit of a looker' in reference to comments made by another member of the production team. Burton begins: 'He says she is all right. Now I don't know if I should trust his judgment on that. Gray replies: "Nah, I wouldn't. I definitely wouldn't." A crew member then refers to her again and Gray is heard saying: 'I can see her from here. What do women know about the offside rule?' A strongly worded statement from Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis had already shown how seriously the network were taking the initial fall-out from Gray and Key's off-air conversation, which was picked up by microphones and leaked to the Mail on Sunday. As well as making more disparaging remarks about Massey, Keys said: 'Did you hear charming Karren Brady this morning complaining about sexism. Do me a favour, love.' Beleaguered pair Keys and Gray were already fighting to keep their jobs following unacceptable comments about assistant referee Sian Massey and West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady, which created a storm of protest even before sister channel Sky News provided more damning evidence. A Sky Sports spokesman said on Monday night: 'They have not been sacked. Sky News are entitled to broadcast what they want and we don't interfere. Their material is being treated as part of the same issue about which we have already made our position very clear.' Francis said: 'I have spoken directly to both Richard Keys and Andy Gray. It has been made clear to each of them that their comments were totally unacceptable. They are inexcusable from anyone at Sky, regardless of their role or seniority.' Keys telephoned Massey yesterday to make a personal apology and she is understood to be more relaxed than anyone else caught up in the maelstrom. The furore saw Sky having to disband their usual Isleworth-based studio operation for last night's show and a new team was sent at the last minute to Bolton, where the programme was presented by David Jones instead of Keys, while Jamie Redknapp and Eidur Gudjohnsen were brought in as pundits. There was also heavy attention to ensure every microphone feed around the ground was monitored as Sky also did for the coverage of Blackburn v West Bromwich on Sunday. The decision to take disciplinary action against Sky's leading football figures was discussed between Francis and the station's chief executive Jeremy Darroch. And the hugely negative publicity for the network will not impress overlord Rupert Murdoch, who is in London in the wake of the phone-tapping scandal enveloping his News of the World newspaper. Late changes: David Jones, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Jamie Redknapp featured at Bolton Gray is one of those suing over the alleged phone-tapping. Gray and Keys would not be due to appear on air again until Tuesday week at the earliest, when West Bromwich face Wigan. Massey will be back in action on Tuesday night, running the line in the League Two match between Crewe and Bradford. The widespread furore against the self-styled kings of Sky Sports football shows no sign of abating. Lord Ouseley, chair of football's equality and inclusion campaign Kick It Out, said: 'This indicates a lack of understanding by individuals who are at the forefront of sports broadcasting, who are revered and respected by many and hints at wider issues about sexism in society.' Brady said the comments 'made her blood boil'. In the spotlight: Sian Massey on duty at Wolves (left) and letting her hair down in MySpace picture She added: 'What really upsets me is the fact only females in our industry are judged by their gender. And that is categorically wrong. 'I'm genuinely disappointed. It never would have occurred to me that they had those views, whether public or private. 'It almost makes it worse that they're speaking off air, because they would never have had the brass neck to say it publicly. I have heard it and I don't believe it is just banter.' Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish opened his press conference yesterday by asking the Sky Sports representative if he objected to the presence of a female journalist. www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1350360/Andy-Burton-latest-Sky-Sports-casualty-sexism-scandal.html

Women at Football doesnt offend me per se.
But lets face it, weve all seen some rough ones down there, cant really think of any attractive female football fans in my years, remember seeing some absolute howlers with moutths like Ashtrays the language coming out of them.
The sexy young linesman / women bird should bring out a sexy calender for the lads or do a spread in Nuts magazine!

I do hope this is the end of the giant ipod and plastic grass plus all the matey, matey, only footballers know anything type crap that Sky are reknowned for. Hopefully the English football coverage will take on the more relaxed approach of Sky' La Liga coverage, far superior. With the exception of the gibbering Ossie obviously!

Gray had to go - for Sky to save face.
But saying that - this whole affair has been blown way out of proportion - and being female, I am entitled to say that!
What has happened to common sense? To a bit of friendly banter between you men and us women, hey? Honestly, I despair of this country sometimes - everything has to be "politically correct" ... why? Anyone got a sense of humour any more or is that just an ugly rumour?!

Andy Gray did nothing wrong & got sacked, wow, The World is now a better place, why dont we just ban everyone from talking in this country ? I'd expect this sort of thing from The BBC, thats a given, but expected better from Sky, laughable really not to mention sinister, disturbing & just wrong at the end of the day. I'm jking with the lady above by the way incase we have any of the PC / "diversity" zealots on here ready to pounce.

That might be referring to me! But I'm really not PC...And I'm really not "a liberal."
But I just have different views about what's appropriate. And a difference of view of whether women should be excluded (including from military conscription!)
But as I said in an earlier post, that didn't mean I felt they should be banned or even had to apologize.

For the record I wasnt refering to you or anyone, more the climate of fear, hysteria & witchhunts we have in this country over two heterosexual men having a completely harmless & inoffensive conversation. I cant believe is as out of control as the in the States, its just mindblowing over here, I'm not sure exactly whose interests they are working in to pretend that this is the kind of society that people want, go and put some Murderers & Rapists in prison, thats what people want.

Personally, don't believe Gray should have been sacked. Was supposed to be an off air conversation and should have been left and treated as just that. Really don't care who officiates matches. Lets be honest in a male dominated sports the males aren't exactly doing a great job. So if women are good enough I say go for it. But should be prepared to deal with whatever comes their way and not expect the players or fans to change the way they react.
However looking at that clip of Gray it makes you wonder how many more other similar comments and actions Gray has made. The fact that this other clip is released now, definitely gives the impression that they are and probably were looking to get rid of him. But if that is the only evidence they have then he didn't deserve to be sacked.

richard keys may be next bt the looks of it! who is posting these? I'll tell you what. Jamie Redknapp might have some explaining to do. Keys is suggesting that JR likes to play away and JR wasn't exactly denying anything. I actually found that clip quite amusing. Surely they aren't going to use this as a case to get rid of Keys. Getting rid of him because he is hairier than Chewbecca is one thing. But unless they have anything really Damning it's already gone too far.

Professional football reals in horror at the sudden discovery that it is a male dominated sport. It's now pathetic and ridiculous and KLR is right, all sense and reason has gone. The slippery of of the destruction of the working class game began with Sky and they continue to do destroy it like an unmanned toboggan rocketing down the icey slopes of whatever it's called. Some people would be amazed by the number of women that enjoy men's football because of what it is, not in spite of it. Hell in a hand cart I tell you!
