Never too late to join. Started I think in April 2008, but maybe earlierThe Gianni Paladini Appreciation Society Global Basic Info Name: The Gianni Paladini Appreciation Society Category: Sports & Recreation - Sports Leagues Description: Gianni Paladini, what can I say....invested in QPR by taking a mortgage out on his own house, when we were in desperate needs of funds. Survived an "allegeded" board room incident where he was threatened at gunpoint - and thus had to have police protection and wear a bullet proof vest. Took untold grief from a minority of fans that didn't like him. Somehow managed to keep us afloat and in business. OH and brought in Bernie Ecclestone, Flavio Briatore and Lakshmi Mittal to, not only save us from administration but, make us the richest backed club in the world. Oh and he brought Cookie HOME! What I don't understand about FB is that people become a fan of the group & nothing is discussed ! unless the groups heavily moderated lol

Wait for Funky, QBP to come on here and condem this thread then talk about it on their own site about yet another paladini bashing and how low this MB has sunk - yawn.

I'd prefer that on this site we not emulate...Now stating facts/refuting assertions is absolutely fine. But beyond that, I'd rather not

What does he actually do? What has he actually accomplished? How much has he cost (or brought to) the club both directly or indirectly? Why do we need a Director of Football? Is he responsible for selecting players to buy? Is he responsible for hirings or firings? Is he worth what we pay him? Has he brought the fans together? Has he divided the fans?
On the one hand we hear about important he is. How many things he does.
But then we here, he's really not responsible for this; and he's really not responsible for that. And oh no, he didn't do that.
And of course different, conflicting, contradictory things are said are said about the same set of facts at different times.
His accomplishments are what? His failures are what?
With a club, losing as much money as we are, we've got to cut costs: And so is a position is not absolutely necessary - and if in fact it turns can manage without - and if in fact by doing so, can do a better job; bring in better people; then, sorry...

See that post by Pete tells me that is what is wrong. Pete, for what it is worth i think that if we get a manager in and give him the full backing to bring in his own players then that is the way too move forward. GP or anyone else who does that job will always hinder the manager. To me if you want a club that is strong and one that can do great things then you need a strong and very single minded man.
Also i seen once some people singing a song about Kevin Gallen and you asked them too stop why would you do that?
