as a supporter who has supported qpr for fifty seasons,i would like to say there really was nothing like rodney marsh,forget stan bowles.
this is because when stan was here he was surrounded by superstars so he didnt look like a god
but marsh was here in the third division days and had a personel fan club of thousands,they would all sing

i was there,it was a magical experience,and one ill never forget
so as an entertainer MARSH is number one
i beleive the greatest striker we have ever had in 50 seasons was les ferdinand

Thanks Weavie: I've pointed to the qualities of both superstars. Bowles had some qualities Marsh didn't have. Marsh had some qualities Bowles didn't have. Both were G-ds!

But Marsh came first; epitomized a certain QPR era. For several years, Rodney WAS QPR

And you can evisage a QPR having accomplished almost as much with Bowles (and without some of the flair). I'm not sure the same be said of a QPR in which Marsh had never played.

mike also it was because i was at a more impressionanble age
i really did beleive rodney was a god,i put him in the same mould as superman
he used to need four defenders to mark him,and when he used to do those head over heel attempts at goal it was like watching him fly,so yeah we do agree there mike,RODNEY WAS JUST AN ICON.
also bowles used to always youst to just be the boy next door,where as marsh would drive a big flash car and have amazing dress sense,putting himself in this godley personna
INFACT I THINK RODNEY IS A GOD,EVEN TO THIS DAY,HE RANKS ALONG SIDE JIM GREGORY AND BILL POWER AS THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE HISTORY OF QPR HISTORY
