Yeah...But how good would his record have been if he'd had Briatore/Paladini type "involvement" in team selection/players bought!!

He's probably looking a little better than he really is (He's a very competent manager, given some resources) - As we all knew when he was appointed.

He's not Venables. He's not Sexton - In the sense of being a super coach

But I said a couple of years ago, when it looked like we'd be spending a lot of money (wisely): You don't have to be a superstar manager to get us up. If you have the resources.

But he's definitely better than Mick Harford!

probably wait till the season is over to be fair to him. brilliant start but if it goes pear shaped, would we be thinking the same? I am happy but dont want to count the chickens. Ollies promotion season was a good one. 46 games!

Sentence four think alot of Managers apart from Neil would not have saved us from relegation last term !
You need a Championship manager with Championship pedigree for this league and thats what Neil has !Even in terms of Big game success and Play off success!
Would Dowie , Sousa , Magilton have done better than this (without briatore and his big snout)
doubt it !
Would the football be as good in two of those case probably no !
Dont have to be a superstar but be a good Manager that gets respects from his Players
gets a unity from them , knows how to deal with players and know your tactics that whats Neil gives !
Is he punching a little above his we will see come May !

Fully agree: Warnock's achievement in "saving" QPR was one that a lot of others might well have failed at.

The biggest danger to us is not injuries or not signing this player or that player: It's the specter of the resuscitation of Flavio Briatore in any kind of "involvement" re QPR matters.

And the fact that Briatore speaks weekly to Warnock = and announces his "Dream" of Lippi..That is our real threat, I'd say.
