Sven Goran Eriksson hopes it is his "destiny" to guide Leicester to Wembley to fill one of the few remianing gaps in his CV.
Amazingly, former England boss Eriksson has never managed a team at Wembley and can take a giant step closer to doing so when he leads Leicester for the fourth time tonight when they take on West Brom in the Carling Cup.
Victory would put Championship City into the quarter-finals of the competition ahead of February's showpiece final in London.
And 62 year old Eriksson, denied the chance to be on the bench at Wembley during his six years in charge of England because of the stadium's protracted redevelopment said: "It is perhaps destiny hopefully.
"It is strange, I think the first England game which I was in charge of was the first game played outside Wembley.
"It was then they started to knock it down. The first game I was not in charge after the World Cup was at Wembley.
"So I have never ever managed a team there.
"But I was pretty sure I would have done because they said Wembley would be ready.
"I have been there since to see England since though and thought it was very good, excellent.
"We could take 40,000 to Wembley which would be wonderful.
"The final is February so not that far away - you never know!"
Martyn Waghorn, Curtis Davies, Kyle Naughton and Gregory Cunningham are all ineligible for Leicester this evening while captain Matt Oakley is injured.
Eriksson knows his side face a tough match against promoted West Brom who are sixth in the top-flight.
Albion have won at Arsenal this season and drawn at Manchester United already in the Premier League.
Eriksson has been very impressed with Baggies boss Roberto di Matteo, who he remembers from Italy's Serie A.
"Congratulations to West Brom and Roberto - they are flying," added Eriksson.
"I hope Roberto picks a weak team but I doubt it. I think he is coming with a good team because their next game is not until Monday at Blackpool.
"Going to Arsenal and beating them and doing extremely well against United is fantastic.
"They are the biggest surprise in the Premier League so far.
"I know Roberto - he was at Lazio when my Sampdoria team played against them.
"He was an extremely good, clever player and technically very good.
"He wants to play attractive football and he will have a very good future as a manager."
Eriksson hopes Albion play Ishmael Miller upfront as he is considering taking the forward on loan from The Hawthorns.
But Eriksson says a speculated move for David Beckham on loan from LA Galaxy is extremely unlikely.
