Had to type it ,would not scan clearly !
Football League Paper. This Loose Lippi talk has shamed Briatore!
Is there no limit to Flavio Briatores pomposity ! After his moronic bablings ths week , it would seem not. Having gone through seven managers in four years and so sabotaged any chance of success, the Italian finally decided to cease his meddling and stand down as chairman of QPR last year.
Lo and behold ,manager Neil Warnock has put together an excellent side ,fostered a good team spirit ,got them playing attacking football and has since overseen the clubs best start to a season since 1947.
So what does Flavio do ? Offer Warnock a pay rise ? Praise his team in the press? Say sorry for all the mistakes he has made ! Of course not !\
The man shamed around the world for race fixing said this to the Italian magazine Chi . "Bernie Ecclestone and i have a 70%stake in QPR and we are top of the table! If we go into the Premier League , i have a dream . That is to have Marcello Lippi as our coach." Arrogant.Stupid.Selfish.Thoughtless i could go on.
Flaunting Briatore is the kind of man who likes to be photographed with women half his age. The kind of man who thinks he can fix races and get away with it,even if it puts lives at risk. The kind of man who genuinely believes he can pick a better team than his manager.
In short he is a preening peacock, never happier than when flaunting his wealth and power in front of peoples faces. Clearly ,he wasnt content that QPR's glory wasn't reflecting on him so he decided to go and grab some of it for himself. His inerview with Chi screamed look at me!
LOOK AT ME .LOOK AT MY TEAM .MY TEAM IS TOP OF THE LEAGUE. ITS ALL BECAUSE OF MY MONEY . WHEN WE GET TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE I WILL GET US A TOP MANAGER. Like some benevolent version of Idi Amin ,Briatore is so ridiculous that he would actually be funny were it not for the carnage he leaves in his wake.
QPR have moved swiftly to limit the damage ,releasing a LIMP statement blasting 'unfounded' stories and insisting that Briatore is '100 per cent behind Warnock and will continue to be so in the future'. Maybe , Maybe not .
Whatever the truth ,Briatores loose lips could already have holed QPR's ship. Because all the players love Warnock ,just a few weeks ago ,Hoops winger Hogan Ephraim attributed QPR's success to the post Briatore stability and Warnocks knack for treating players like men.
If they now get the slightest whiff that their manager is a dead man walking it will be curtains for their title hopes !
I spoke to Leicester boss Sven Goran Eriksson last week and he told of his final game at Manchester City when ,having already been told he was getting sacked by Thai owner Thaksin Shinawatra , his players first refused to play then went out and lost 8-1.
"Horrible"he said ."The players knew i was going and they didnt want to play -to protest against Thaksin". As Briatore said,QPR are top of the table. Keep this up and things might look very different in May. And just try to get Marcello Lippi on board then !!!!

Sums it up! I wonder if he his ego will let any of this negative reaction through? As Des Kelly said " The perma-tanned pillock" Quality!

Many many thanks (I just added a few breaks to make it easier to read.) It's what many of us fear.

Of course, on the other, other hand....If it had been handled differently (kept quiet)..In two or three years, when we want to move to the next level in the Premiership, then I'd expect us to again look overseas for a successor - especially if Briatore is still involved!

Yes , no question this would definately happen ! Neil would get his 2 years in the Premiership first though hopefully . This is all hypothetical though , what would happen if Neil got us promoted , first 6 months struggled were 4/5th from bottom , Neil still wanted to fight on for the second half of season ! Would they leave Neil to do his stuff or make a move , think we know the answer to this! Even if we finished first season in 16/17th Neil wants to have a go in his last year would they let him ? I think if he got us there he deserve the two years and what will be will be , he may even do a better job than Lippy .who knows

Statement about an ex chairman from an ex QPR supporter.
Of course Briatore wants Lippi as manager if the Hoops get promoted - why else would he say it ? It isn't even a very poor joke.
It does illustrate that the ownership is still held by the original gang who took the club over and that the convicted fraudster's " retirement" from the club was a complete sham and farce.
Naturally the front men on the board refute this. They don't want to rock the boat and lose the backing of the mugs, sorry " fans ".
The fans are wanted solely for their money, your feelings and aspirations don't mean a thing. But don't be surprised at this, at least Briatore comes straight out and tells you, you don't count. He's done it plenty of times.
By the way, he obviously thinks as little of Warnock as he does of you.
I can't support a team where he is involved, whether it be up front or behind the scenes.
Good luck to all of you who can.
