This genuinely Independent site is genuinely open to all points of view and welcomes all visitors and posters. It is designed to foster debate and discussion and strives for tolerance and acceptance of alternate points of view. Obviously some get heated. And may say things they regret. But people are coming here as QPR fans.
And the moderators, and especially myself, are far fromperfect but we're doing our best; trying to learn from our mistakes and certainly urging people both publicly and privately to keep to the strictures of this board..
However: As the former Mayor of New York, the great Ed Koch said "The mayor is not a coward and the mayor is also not a schmuck." The same applies for the people running this board.
While we fully welcome all points are view, we are not going to get sidetracked from the central mandate of this board - discussion of QPR and football - by spending our time consistently responding to posters who really don't seem to want to discuss QPR matters. But really want to just critique how we're doing things.
Especially by a couple of neophyte posters to this board, who in a startling act of Chutzpah are denouncing and criticizing that.
All I can say all errors are honestly made and we're beholden to no one

Now as they used to say: "It is no Coincidence, Comrade..."
So I don't appreciate some of what's been going on here in the past day or two or three or four.
This site is for those who want to discuss the topics of this site: QPR on all issues; football in general. And I genuinely welcome the strongest Gianni Paladini advocate in all of Europe. I may disagree, but I welcome the perspective. And there is certainly no consensus on QPR matters.
I certainly acknowledge my own flaws running a board. But what I won't accept, and I've reluctantly come to this conclusion is what has been happening. It is the height of hypocrisy to point to this and that here, when what's been going on another site, makes the few comments here, which the moderate have been very active about, pale in comparison.
Now it's possible that a few may proclaim they are "Shocked - shocked" by that determination.
More to come.

This site has been operating for aproaching 500 days. We suffered the jibes of those who said "more moderators" than posters. But given the source of the jibes, such views weren't too important.
This site had certain objectives and goals and a certain QPR and football-only focus. It's been gradually growing in audience and members. That's nice. But having the largest QPR fan site was never my objective. My objective has been to provide that forum for civilized discussion and debate and nostalgia.
Recently a new unpleasantness has occurred on this site. We've had the odd moment; the odd visitor; who arrives, posts some critique and then swiftly vanishes. But this concerted, negative, attention-seeking, fight-provoking is a very recent phenomenon.
And it will be halted. There are other forums out there. They should be used. Or another forum can be set up. But it's this not going to be this forum.
More to come.

Are you writing a book?
Fairness in all arguments would not go amiss. It seems you have one rule for one, and another rule for others

And it will be a fine book.
I've acknowledged my flaws. I also have said this site compares extremely well compares to some others. I've said what I said. Now what what I do.

Nah, Minties and Macintoshes are a great source for causing tooth pain, excellent filling removers too, along with milk Bottle lollies.

Mike best as we all do me and you sometimes fall in and out. But never nasty. They only gave Indyrs a week. Annd we even had the QPR legal Rep email us asking for who our legal team was ?? They tryed to bully ius out of the QPR family be it on websites or with the legal eagle working as a poor mans mini mandleson. We still exist,we still tell the truth, And Always Queen's Park Rangers. Viva independence. And Now i know who Toothache is this is for you. Nearly all creators of Utopia have resembled the man who has toothache, and therefore thinks happiness consists in not having toothache. They wanted to produce a perfect society by an endless continuation of something that had only been valuable because it was temporary. The wider course would be to say that there are certain lines along which humanity must move, the grand strategy is mapped out, but detailed prophecy is not our business. Whoever tries to imagine perfection simply reveals his own emptiness. George Orwell.

Now now Paul, some of us are making an effort to move on from things many years ago. Let's not get back into them all. As you know the 'QPR legal Rep email us asking for who our legal team (sic) was' was in fact simply a response from a message from Steve Russell saying the site had legal advice on something or other. At the time I asked in a personal capacity if I could communicate direct with the person giving such advice to try and resolve something. That was actually quite reasonable and I expect anyone else would have behaved similarly in the circumstances, even Mr Devlin. As for the 'mini-mandelson' I missed your catty wit and I'm glad its back again. No offence taken. And I can promise you I shan't be making half as many comebacks as the real Mr Mandy so don't worry. Now let's not get dragged into any more bickering, and returning to the original point of this thread, as I have elsewhere, I think it is worth thanking the moderators on this site for managing to allow debate between different people and limiting personal abuse. It's far more healthy to have more than one side of an argument, and not simply to tell those who disagree with you to go on another site (there are, I believe, other sites that allegedly already do that)!
