EXCLUSIVE: FAURLIN PENS NEW DEAL Posted on: Tue 05 Oct 2010 The Club is delighted to announce that Argentine ace Alejandro Faurlin has put pen to paper on a new deal with the R's. The 24 year-old has signed an extended deal, tying him to the Club until the summer of 2014. Faurlin has made a quite extraordinary impact since joining the R's from Institute in the summer of 2009. In his debut season in W12, he made 44 appearances in all competitions and went on to scoop both the Player's Player and Supporter's Player of the Year awards. His fine form continued at the start of this season, only for a minor hamstring injury to rule him out of the R's last four Championship fixtures. However, the midfielder has recently returned to full training and is likely to be in contention for the visit of Norwich City to Loftus Road after the international break.

Superb news, well done GP!! Just wish Warnock would stop stepping on Gianni's glory by hogging the credit QPR Official SiteWARNOCK: 'MY BEST PIECE OF BUSINESS!' Posted on: Tue 05 Oct 2010 'This is the best piece of business I've done since I joined the Club' - that was the verdict of R's gaffer Neil Warnock following the news that Alejandro Faurlin has put pen to paper on a new deal at QPR. The Argentinean playmaker has today (Tuesday) penned a two year extension at Loftus Road, to the delight of Warnock. "It's the best signing I've made - I couldn't be more delighted that he's penned a two year extension," he told www.qpr.co.uk. "I genuinely believe he can get better and better and that's saying something, because he's already a truly outstanding player. "I've got great confidence in his ability and he's an integral part of where I see the Club going in the future." Warnock added: "I think it says a lot about his character and his temperament that he's settled in so quickly. "It took him the best part of six months to bed in, but this contract and the stability it provides will take his game to the next level now." www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2175637,00.html

Brilliant news and a brilliant signing in the first place.
Have it on good authority that Faurlin was signed on a free transfer, its a shame the club was not honest and up front about fees etc when he signed though but it was typical of the previous administration I spose.

Great news and Warnock saying this is best signing, shows how highly he's rated, the form seems to have gone without him. We'll need him fit for the Norwich game which will be a test.

That I'd be very surprised to hear even if the initial announcement of rising up to 3.5 million sounded a little hyped.

That I'd be very surprised to hear even if the initial announcement of rising up to 3.5 million sounded a little hyped. 100% free transfer 100% bit of F***ing amazing business in the transfer market then. Thankyou very much Mr. Gorman. So, we get a winner in the last minute against palace, top of the league with +21 goal difference, Mallya might come in soon and get rid of Flabio the cheat and Bernie the nazi admiring Chelsea gnome and Faurlin extends his contract with us! Happy days indeed. Still won't stop me from demanding we sign Walker as well though!
