Kasabian's Tom Meighan Mocks 'Flash' QPR After they beat Leicester City... www.gigwise.com/news/58494/Kasabians-Tom-Meighan-Mocks-Flash-QPRSeptember 20, 2010 by Jason Gregory | Photo by WENN.com Share Kasabian TicketsKasabian frontman Tom Meighan has poked fun at Queens Park Rangers football club, it's been reported. The singer apparently mocked the team and manager Neil Warnock after they beat his local side Leicester City. “QPR are a bit flash now, aren't they?” he told Sky Sports Take It Like A Fan. “I mean, we all know Neil Warnock shaves his legs." Leicester lost 2-0 at home to the Championship leaders on Saturday (September 18). Kasabian are currently on hiatus before starting work on the follow-up to their 2009 album 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'. www.gigwise.com/news/58494/Kasabians-Tom-Meighan-Mocks-Flash-QPR

QPR are in a spot of bother with baffling BBC 20.09.10 QPR's Loftus Road home might be in the shadow of the BBC's White City complex but the Corporation seem to be treating their local side with measured indifference this season. Rangers sit five points clear at top of the Championship after their best start to a season in 63 years but you wouldn't know it if BBC1's Football League Show, hosted by Manish Bhasin, is anything to go by. QPR could make only fourth spot on Saturday's show. Ipswich, creamed 3-0 by Rangers in midweek, were the main feature against the show's beloved Cardiff. Watford deserved their second billing with the 6-1 spectacular at Millwall but even Friday night's goalless draw between Doncaster and Leeds was in front of QPR. Baffling. www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-sport/football/article-23880072-qpr-are-in-a-spot-of-bother-with-baffling-bbc.do

Maybe Tom Meighan should think about maybe writing a song for the band for a change rather than worry about what QPR's coach may or may not be doing. Maybe Kasabian will be a half decent band then.
Nice comment about the Football League (minus QPR) Show. I thought it was just me who thought they were more than a bit obsessed with Baadiff City.

For the record Kasabian was named after one of the women who belonged to Charles Manson's little group of charming people that murdered a heavily pregnant Sharon Tate & friends. I think she ended up being a key witness. Charming inspiration to name your band.

God's sake get a grip, far worse is said every week by our own fans.

Kasabian bloke = cliched wannabee Liam Gallagher style northern monkey.
BBC Championship programme = unbelievably bad, I'm almost tempted to say that I've seen better on ITV, thats how bad it is.
Whats with the really creepy bald roly poly gay guy that goes around the country meeting young football managers ?!
& the women with the double barrelled surname sitting on that desk reading out the E-mails ?!
Just no need for any of this carry on at all, not what football is all about, & the Asian bloke clearly doesnt like football & no matter how many times he says the word "terrific" I'm afraid it cant mask the fact that he doesnt like football or know what its about. Cant for the life of me think why he got that job ?!
Just an awful awful programme, I think to be fair Steve Claridge knows how bad it is, it is really bad isnt it ? I dont think I've ever managed to sit through a whole show.

I complained to the BBC last year on there coverage of the televised match we had against Derby, we were playing some terific football but that moron Claridge was totally ignoring it and was hooting on about his mate "ravige" the blond haired twit.
A bland reply came back fro the Beeb, so they must be impressed with Claridge cos they've got him on the the programme thats seems think we might just go away, Claridge just hasn't got any presence in front of the camera, all the time his eyes drop like he wants to hide.
But like I said he's crap behind the camera, that's when all of his predudices come out, or is he having an affair with the blond.

Kasabian are quality. Nice to see that everyone thinks the same of the Football League show though! Hurrah someone with ears! Much better live than on record, admittedly. As for the show, it is at least better than ITV's edition. Although I would rather it didn't start at 12:30am, especially when you've just sat through Hansen and Lineker commenting on how Wigan still can't defend for 10 minutes (and they are ALWAYS last on, unless getting thrashed by l'arsenal/ chelsea etc)

On the subject of presenters (or ex in this case) on the BBC - who would you rather have hosting the show?, Manish or Adrian Chiles?
Where does the BBC find the most uncharismatic presenters from?, and how do they go on to have careers elsewhere?
I don't mind Kasabian.........
