Parejo: My Spell In England Helped Me Improve
Real Madrid midfielder Dani Parejo feels that his spell with Queens Park Rangers helped him to improve...
Dani Parejo has claimed today that his loan spell in England with Queens Park Rangers has helped him to improve as a player.
The youngster was recalled from his loan early by Real Madrid, but still believes it benefited him.
"It improved me a player, and as a person," he told AS.
"I am very pleased I went there, because from the moment I arrived they treated me very well and I thank everyone for that."
Parejo is yet to play on his return to Madrid due to injury, but he still spoke about the fortunes of the team today, and sounded optimistic.
"I believe we can win the league," he asserted. "Two years ago Barcelona led by nine points and in the end we won it, so why not this year? If we continue with this level and consistency, anything is possible.
"We have won our last five games and we are very happy,as the team is in good spirit. We must try to get our sixth win in Soria [against Numancia], although it will be tough. We must give our all in games, focus, and hope others slip-up."
Indeed, Real Madrid will need Barcelona to lose plenty of points if they are to catch them, and considering the way the Catalan side are playing, that doesn't look likely.
Still, Parejo is looking forward to regaining his fitness and can't wait to play for the team.
He added, "I want to be in the team and to help however I can. My dream is to play for Real Madrid and it is getting closer. Working day by day, to debut is the goal and I am going little by little."
